Summary:
Fifteen years after he walks away from everything with Madeleine Swann, an older and wiser James Bond returns to London. Looking to repair the relationships he left behind as well as seeking a kind of sanctuary for himself, a chance encounter in a café quickly shows James that things are quite different from the way they were before, particularly with his former Quartermaster who has left MI6 on an indefinite -- possibly permanent -- leave of absence.
A series of deeply traumatic events has left Q a shadow of his former self from which he may never recover unless drastic action is taken. Hoping his own experiences with loss and trauma will help, James joins forces with Q’s stalwart and resilient Personal Protection Officer and an equally devoted Giant Schnauzer to try to pull Q back from the edge, but the mess James made of his friendship with Q 15 years ago may be a barrier they can never surmount.
Time and circumstance have put a rutted road of a million miles of difference between them, but perhaps the way back to each other begins with a simple, “Hello.”
