Stifled laughs and giggles were trying to be contained with hands or any items to hide their grinning mouths as Pyro walked past them. The Frenchman was certainly confused why it’s only happening around him or when he’s talking to one of the agents in general.
It was eventually someone was kind enough to point it out to him. Agent Lavender held up a compact mirror for him to see someone has drawn a lipstick on his gasmask itself. Not only that but with real lipstick kissed on it.
“Who did it!” Pyro slammed his mask onto the table, silencing his teammates from their own conversations with one another to stare at the annoyed look on his face and then the gasmask. “Who think it was a funny idea to vandalize my mask?”
“Honestly that’s a nice color to it.” Red snickered. “I guess someone failed to wake up Sleeping Beauty with a kiss this time.” Pyro cast a look to her who’s trying to contain her laughter. Then he looked at Raven who just re-applied on her lipstick just as he barged in. “Mademoiselle Raven...What shade is that lipstick?”
Raven narrowed her eyes at him, knowing what he meant there. She shook her head at him.
“Funny, it looks like about the same shade as on my mask here. Come here and kiss it for me.” Pyro gestured her to come. A gloved hand rose to her chest as she made a face that says ‘Excuse me?’. “Or are you admitting that you did it?” “Pyro you’re jumping into conclusion again.” X spoke up in her place. “How can she do it when she was in the canteen with Agent Eris?”
“Are you sure she was there? Were you there with her?”
“See.” So Pyro walked towards Raven and placed his mask in her view. “Now, prove your innocence to me.”
Raven frowned at the arsonist. To prove it to him, she took off her glove and wipe the palm of her hand across her lips to show him no lipsticks stains on her hand and no smudges on her face as she does that. “How did you do that?” “It’s matte.” She signed at him. “It means my lipsticks still stays on without ruining it. Or leaving lipstick marks on it.”
“Oh really? If I could have your permission this time, I would like for you to kiss it to show that it’s matte.” “Pyro please, remain calm and-” “X shut up.”
Certainly it made Raven roll her eyes in annoyance now. She finally complied and kiss his gasmask right next to the lipstick mark where she show him there was nothing of hers on his mask but just the original evidence. To even prove it to him better, she even kissed X right on the lips in front of their team and Pyro. It even shocked Eric and Agent Eris who just came in to see what is happening. The little make-out lasted for seconds until Raven pulled away and leave the meeting room to freshen up again. X was left speechless and touching his lips for what has happened between him and his best friend.
Pyro just dropped his lower jaw in complete shock and sat down where Raven has once sat and his accusations on anyone has dropped.
“Was there a bet going on I missed out?” Eric wondered while Agent Eris just whistled lowly. Doc waved him off. “Pyro is trying to figure out who kissed his gasmask and left a mark on it.”
“Is that all?” The Romanian agent just scoffed underneath her breath. “Is that what all the fuss about? I know who did it.”
“Relax Pyro.” Agent Eris scoffed. “It’s just one of the agents who had cleaning duties and yours was among it.” She had him sit back down as he was about to sit up. “Hey, hey, relax. They didn’t mean to leave it on. Maybe they think it might be funny for you and others.”
Pyro has given up and asked for a tissue to clean it off before Eric can start the meeting and Raven’s return from the washroom.
“That color looks nice on you.” Eris said as Raven, suggested by the agent for health reasons, swatched it on her arm. She pointed a nice shade of red that complimented on her skin tone. “You should buy that. If you do, then I’ll get that color in a different brand.”
Raven nodded her head and took the wrapped item and waited for Eris to take the choice of lipstick of the same color so they can pay them together.
“I wish I could use this on Lydia or Eric.” Eris applied on her newly bought lipstick in the car Raven is driving. “Shame I can’t cause you know why.” Raven nodded her head in an understanding way. Before she can drive off, something in the rear window cause her eye. She turned around, reached out for it, and brought it to the front.
“Why the hell did he leave it here?” Raven shrugged her shoulder and placed it on Eris’s lap. “Wait...Are you serious?” Eris didn’t expect the mute mercenary to suggest to the agent to make-out on the gasmask to see if the lipstick looks nice on it. She could see the grin slowly spread on Raven’s face as she meant it. Eris eventually match that grin of hers.
“We better make sure he doesn’t know it’s from us. If he blames you, I dare you to kiss X to lie to him.”
The look on Raven’s face was priceless but she’ll take the drop for it.
