Anyil smiled gratefully as the young psych officer opened the door to her quarters for her. She deftly maneuvered herself and her crutches inside, grateful that Dr. Ames hadn't insisted she be wheelchair-bound. She made appropriate conversation with the officer, and he thankfully left with relative dispatch - by now, he knew she'd want some time to herself in her quarters. She sat down on the bed with a grunt of relief, and a faint crinkle of paper. I didn't see anything on the bed... she thought, with some suspicion, and laboriously stood again. There was nothing on top of the covers, but under them there was an envelope with her name on it in oddly familiar handwriting. She sat again, and turned it around to open it - and noted it was sealed with the SHIELD seal. Her trepidation grew as she removed the letter from its envelope and began to read.
Due to recent events which resulted in the very visible and widely-known fracture of your leg, it is no longer practical to conceal your healing abilities. However, it is still necessary to keep classified the circumstances of your powers' acquisition. Therefore, the enclosed story has been provided to yourself, Agent Hill, and Dr. Ames, and all the scientists on your case. It is to be treated as absolute truth. Agent Facchino has also been given a copy, and does not know the actual explanation. You are responsible for informing Agents Romanov and Brompton of the new cover story; breaches of the story will not be tolerated.
Anyil carefully read the story, which claimed that her healing abilities had been acquired in the incident with the alien possession; the first possession had given some vestige of ability, which had been reinforced upon abduction and second possession. The diagram on her back was potentially part of it, but its role was said to be unclear, and it was too risky to experiment on any other agent. She ran a hand through her hair, then sent messages to Agents Romanov and Brompton asking to talk. She wanted to get this mess as done with as possible, then take a long damn nap.
