purple: 10 facts about my room
the thing i call my room is actually more an art nook with my desk in it and my paraphernalia around it, not the room where i sleep, which is more my sister’s than mine. however, my art nook is my favorite place in the world and i love it dearly.
i have a hollywood bowl florence + the machine poster on the wall, which watches over me and my various artistic putterings (it’s the one on my desk in this photo). i talk to it sometimes, in that way that you do.
the walls in my art room are purple, and the ceiling is white
i have a string of TARDIS lights hanging around my desk, as well as a string of fake flowers (hello lungs aesthetic)
i have lots of notes and artwork and photographs taped up on the walls and on cords stretched from desk to bookcase
i have four witching balls hanging from the ceiling, but someday i hope to have more
you can tell p clearly if i like a person because you will see them everywhere (i have a shelf that i has a clear natasha romanoff theme, and a corkboard that is covered in pictures of florence welch. actually, there are so many photos of florence welch. not just on the corkboard. someday someone will call me out on this.)
i have a size ten men’s grey converse shoe that i found in a recycling can at school back in like 2013. it lives on the crossbeam of my desk.
inside of the converse is the spoon i threatened to kill someone with. (back when i was a young flippant thing)
there are ten different SockDreams stickers stuck to the ceiling above me. i put them there.

we have three cats (Sokka Fuzzypants, Rory J. Cat, Helena Romanoff)
none of us like hot weather
we all have interests in common in that we all like art, Marvel, Florence + the Machine, various sci-fi shows, and history, with varying degrees of intensity
we go on road trips and to the beach together
three of us are introverts, one of us is an extrovert. hint: i am not an extrovert
¾ of us have varying forms of chronic pain.
one of my favorite recent memories of time spent together was either doing a puzzle together at the beach while the rain slowly wicked under the door or when we were driving to the beach, listening to how big, how blue, how beautiful and realizing that everyone in the car was softly singing along
in terms of extended family i have four aunts, the oldest of which is twenty-four years older than the youngest
i also have three grandmothers and three grandfathers

my fingers are all a little bent, especially my left middle finger, which has a definite swerve to the left above my top knuckle
i have very subtle phlebotomy scars in the crooks of my elbows and one on my left wrist. i am the only person who generally notices these.
i have bangs. i have always had bangs. i probably will always have bangs.
my hair is long enough to reach just past the small of my back
i look angry a lot in photos because i have trouble smiling on cue
my perception of self/appearance is terribly distorted by my dysmorphia disorder
grey: 2 facts about my favorite things
my art desk is one of my favorite objects i own. fact: it’s a white plastic and metal ikea model with two shelves above it.
my favorite band is Florence + the Machine. fact: Florence Welch was “discovered” by her agent singing “Something’s Got a Hold On Me” by Etta James in the bathroom of a pub. she sounded so amazing that her agent offered to work with her then and there.
