In many ways, I still find it incredibly odd how some of my closest friendships in my late 20s have come from this damn site. I can’t tell if that is sad or just super reflective of how we connect via the internet nowadays.

Right?!?! McNally’s a Griffindor, and maybe Dani. Stella is def Slytherin.
yes!!!! and reed is a ravenclaw!
One year ago today, I wrote a couple paragraphs for the birthday of @agentmulderp. We only knew each other for about a month at that point, but I promised her a tumblr post for her birthday. So today, a year and many hours of phone calls and a few cross-continent visits later, I want to post another birthday shout out to the absolutely spectacular and awkward and silly and wonderful @agentmulderp. In the last year, I've gotten to know her so much better. She is wildly intelligent and passionate for knowledge. I adore how much she loves birds and got me to pay way more attention to them when I'm out in nature. She loves crows, in particular, so I make sure to always give them more love when they're around. And by that I mean I people watch them... but I guess that's call bird watching, which is its own activity. But anyways... moving along... One of my favorite things about her is her passion and heart for justice. In the many conversations we've had, she's made me think deeply about various things- politics, religion, etc. She makes me see them from different angles. She challenges me, and I think that's the best thing a friend can do for you. Her passion for her job, the people she works with, and the people she works for is very hard to match. She deserves to be recognized for her effort. It's been a pleasure to watch her go from just starting out to blossoming in her young career. While our schedules don't allow for those 2-3 hour long conversations anymore, I do look forward to the times we are able to talk and catch up. It's nice to hear about the latest cases she's working on or how her indoor rock climbing adventures are going. I'm also a super fan of the silly tumblr posts we exchange via messenger. It's funny stuff. 😄 ----------------------------------------------------- My dear friend, @agentmulderp , happy birthday to you. I know we joked about turning another year older and getting way close to the mile marker of 30, but I think the best of your life is still ahead of you. You will always be one of my favorite people on this earth and I'm forever grateful to this hellsite for making sure you ended up in my life. I will love you always! Thank you for being such a vital part of my personal growth and for being such an amazing person to the people around you. You are the best. ❤
@agentmulderp replied to your post: Plot twist: Lydia is Isabella’s mother. Isabella’s...
Isn’t it implied that Isabella paid Lydia to set up the foster care and boarding school for her kid? Isabella would have needed help to set up her kid’s fake identity, and Lydia probably would have had the connections to do that without anyone in Isabella’s circle finding out…
As far as I recall, all that’s actually been stated is that Lydia knows about the kid, not that she’s played any role in the child’s life: “The information I guard for you grows larger by the day” ... “And perhaps I shall tire of keeping the secret of your bastard child.” I do think it’s reasonable to assume that she knows because she helped set up the living situation, or helps maintain it or something, but I don’t think that’s been confirmed.
My frustration is more about why LYDIA, of all people, a random bawd, would be the person that a rich and powerful family like Isabella’s turns to for aid. I understand not trusting anyone who might spill the beans to their social circle, but, well, Lydia was a pretty bad choice in that regard, considering she’s been threatening to spill the beans for years! I’m sure there can be an explanation — a preexisting connection between Lydia and the family, maybe, or rash desperation on Izzy’s part — but I just want canon to tell me what it is.
1, 2, 5, 19. For shipper ask.
1. Answered! Janeway/Paris because I’m a weirdo
Talk about three of the most important ships throughout your life
You know this question is kind of odd for me--I think its the word “important” that is throwing me, it feels weird to attach it to a ship for some reason idk. Anyway I’ll go with
1) MSR--in high school I didn’t know what my own sexuality was, but goddammit I wanted Mulder and Scully to fuck, I knew that much.
2) Phedre/Melisande from the Kushiel’s Legacy series because they helped make me feel more comfortable with my own sexuality and kink, also inspired me to write explicit fic for the first time and
3) Bedelia/Hannibal because they still own my ass 5 years later, I love them so much. I just wish fandom and Bryan Fuller loved them half as much as I do. My version of them is better than canon anyway.
Do you have any poly ships
Bedannigram for sure. I keep meaning to write more for them. But I’m generally open to OT3 for all my ships.
Have you ever shipped something despite yourself?
Bedelia/Will I guess. Which is a pairing that manages to piss off both the hannigram and bedannibal fans, leaving a small readership of 5 people and a shoelace.
Mary/Branson from Downton Abbey too. I kind of hated Branson the first few seasons. I thought he was obnoxious to Sybil. But I warmed to him when he was all sad widower. Their actors had a lot of chemistry, way more than their designated love interests imo.
agentmulderp replied to your post “Question for my internet friends Someone who panics about writing...”
Maybe they said those things in the interview to trick you into thinking you would be doing "fun" PR things, but, actually, it's mostly spreadsheets?
LOLOL. No, that requires a level of subterfuge that these people are not capable of. :-)
agentmulderp replied to your post “Review: Tremontaine s302”
Do you remember who wrote the chapter with the hand-holding thing? That was so cute. It's neat how the characters come across a little differently when written by different authors.
Interestingly enough, another Tessa episode! From “The Heart a Liability”--aka the one where Davenant is a creeper at the theater.
Oh Diane. So much suffering could have been avoided if you’d only let Esha hold your hand....
Have you considered naming your baby after Harriet or Rose?
I feel like I don’t know them well enough yet as historical subjects to give them a namesake…we’re like still at the research tinder dating stage. ;) But we both like Rose related names.
ETA: the wildest names I ever found in my research were Roxelana and Fidelia, two Shaker sisters.
