She had, for all intents and purposes, been dropped into her new job without much of a formal interview. It was an excellent vote of confidence on Steve’s part, but there was still quite a bit Darcy still didn’t know. The brunette was, first and foremost, and administrator, alien incursions be damned. So being given a position in which she had to essentially handle the new recruits was daunting to say the least. 

Training, or even just plain advice, would be much appreciated, and Darcy figured it couldn’t hurt to ask one of the few women she actually knew as more than a mere acquaintance. Or glorified stranger. (Although, she had a lady boner for Maria Hill, she could admit this, if only to herself.) But Natasha was scary competent. 

Darcy needed scary competent.
