I kinda touched on this in my 'depressed autoshota' anon but if that reblog is an invitation to reopen discussion, I'm eager.

To me, an oneeshota fan, shotacon is about love and symbolic motherhood. I'm not exactly the most eligible bachelor for many reasons. Maleness being treasured, protected, and sexually desired for its own sake is an appealing fantasy. It's especially validating then when I meet a female shotacon, even if she's only into onishota.

I am, for what it's worth, very cute, but still chronically adult. For shotas, being cute is enough! They don't have to socially perform under a hypercritical eye, they can be emotionally weak, they don't have to be a provider. It also probably matters that the women in my family didn't measure up in the nurturing department.
