Completely agreed. Yep. And I’m sure you carefully read the syllabus before you even started the course, too, so that you knew what you would be in for and were ABLE to think ahead and advise your professor that there might be an issue, and to take care of yourself when the time came.
That’s called taking care of your own mental health, and you did the smart thing. Sadly, it isn’t always possible to think ahead, but you have to do the best you can, and not put the blame on other people when they have no way to know that they have somehow accidentally triggered you.
Sometimes, it’s no-one’s fault but the person or event that caused your trauma in the first place.
