Working on Luna’s fear of Allie (with whom she grew up but there you are then). We’ve been working on proximity for months now and this is where we’re at. Luna feels much more comfortable with a barrier, but see the second video for how uncomfortable she still is - panting, whale-eyes, averting her gaze/face. We ended the session right after that video by asking Luna,”Do you want to go to your room?”, at which point she left and went to her room. That is BIG progress for Luna. We aren’t sure that Luna will ever be friends with Allie again, but we’re hoping that we can teach her that she can leave Allie’s presence when she is feeling fearful instead of, you know, attacking her.
