Look it's not the size it's what you do with them
I write this with pride as I tell the world we came in dead last at our competition today. We got last place in 3 out of the 5 workouts. We can talk about what could have been different, what should have been different, and the 3 dozen things out of our control that happened today, but that’s not what benefits an athlete. Instead, I look at the things my team and I did well. We kept trucking along, we pushed to be our best, and learned about what can be improved. Today was not a failure; today was the opportunity to learn to keep my cool about things I cannot control and stay focused on what I can control: what I do in my lane when the timer beeps. I was frustrated, because I thought this event did not reflect who I have become as an athlete. But I was wrong. This reflects all three of us being willing to roll with the punches, dust each other off, smile when we could, and come out on the other side as a stronger team, who will for sure being doing more 3 person competitions!
