Another kiss is given, this one more of a peck than the last, before he moves his hands away.

There’s a pause in his signing.

[”But I would be lying if I said a bit of extra time would not be nice.”]

The book is quickly put away, and then he practically tackles the squirrel, giving him a kiss. His tail is wagging. Three days seemed like a lot, even if it was just one day more than usual.

They could laze around at home, or go somewhere. It felt exciting.

"Joining a cult would be worse. I'm not sure what islands haven't heard of me. It'd have to be a small, poor one. Doubt I could get a job that'd pay enough to support two people on one of those. And I wouldn't get to travel."

Rather than sitting, he flops over.

"I like the traveling bit of my...job. I like how much I get paid sometimes. I just don't like...The rest of it, sometimes. But I guess I wouldn't get paid so much if it was easy to do. Ugh."

He huffs, and puts his hands over his face in frustration.

"I appreciate the offer. But I wouldn't really get to buy anything if I were paid in seafood."

He lets out a huff, and then a whiny growl, turning to the other side, and curling up in his blankets, covering his head.

Had the squirrel come home really early just to wake him up with that awful stench? That was outright cruel, and he wasn’t having any of it.
