i watched shang-chi today and. i just realised

the shang of shangqi -> 尚 -> 上 (up)

the xia of xialing -> 夏 -> 下 (down)

yes they are homophones. the xu siblings really do complement each other!

i really appreciate how in fatal journey we get to see huaisang flex his skills in the astronomy room AND have mingjue praise him about his knowledge

we all know huaisang is hopeless with a saber, especially considering how much mingjue hounds him about it, but it’s so nice to see that da ge still acknowledges his strengths and trusts that he’ll do well with them
