I do. I like my steak medium rare. I like a little blood in my steak.

What Made You Decide to Make a Tumblr: I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep up with a baby book for 2 kids & wanted a place to record what sorts of fun things we do & how very much I love them.

Why Did You Pick Your URL: It was the same one that I made for Etsy so many years ago.

How Many Blogs I Follow: 1067 -- Yes, I have a problem. But there are so many amazing people & blogs & I can’t be expected to not follow all of the awesome blogs.

What Do I Post About: I post a lot of different sorts of things, BUT I tend to focus most on parenting, gardening, food, education, music, the moon, unicorns, mermaids & embroidery related stuff. Oh & my many emotions :D

Do You Get Asks On a Regular Basis: I would say it comes in waves. I think I get a lot sometimes & then I get too slow with my response & then I get less asks for a while. I try to save my asks for when I have time to sit & everything else is kind of calm. I just turned my anon option on a few months ago & it’s been really positive so far.

Aesthetics: Hmmm...long shirt with a moon or unicorn, long cardigan sweater, leggings, red Toms & a huge waterproof purse filled with a water bottle, at least 3 lip balms/glosses, Altoids, sticky notes, mini playdoh, mini coloring book, a couple of clothes pins & outdated coupons.

aglitterspeck tagged me with asking for five things that make me happy. (Similar to the five things that I like from a week ago. But perhaps different.)

1. Deciding to be happy. I’m a firm believer that a big part of happiness is deciding the be happy. I’m not discounting that it can be intensely difficult for some but I think that a portion of our collective unhappiness can be traced back to choices that drive us to be unhappy.

2. Spending time working with my hands. Building furniture (or anything), splitting firewood, clearing trees, making cardboard weapons for the kids, carving, 

3. Dogs. Pretty much all dogs make me happy. Buddy the Dog is the only dog that I currently live with so he makes me particularly happy these days.

4. Family. From my immediate family (wife, stepkids) to my parents to my siblings and their families I get a lot of happiness spending time with those folks.

5. Wine. I’m not a quantity guy but I do like to drink wine. It is like my perfect unwinding tool in the evenings while cooking/eating/cleaning.
