oh god this is probably gonna ruin actual lore because i genuinely get so confused looking things up so sorry to everyone who knows actual dnd lore and is about to read a mess i made up from playing this game..... ill put it all under a cut!!!
to make an incredibly long story short, Nine-Fingers Keene A.K.A Astele and Rana were childhood friends :) Rana didn't have a good home life under her father so she spent most of her time in the streets doing dumb kid things and eventually meets Astele and they become really good friends being petty thieves. They're both pretty young but they're inseparable and by the time Rana's around 13 she gets arrested and... well Keene kinda doesn't bail her out and Rana's father is like well im not gonna bother either.
Flashforward a month in jail, Rana escapes and leaves Baldur's Gate until the events of the game. Throughout her travels she kinda runs into Keene intermittently at various Thieve's Guild things. They've definitely got that One That Got Away energy and their reunion is filled with hate and lost chances so they definitely make not great decisions together but Keene's betrayal hurts more than Rana is capable of loving at the time and they always end up fighting and going their separate ways (usual with a knife to one another's necks) only to end up within reach again. Keene even offers her a place in the Thieve's Guild in Baldur's Gate once she's at the top but Rana denies with a big fight and they don't really talk until Act 3 a few years laer.
Of course, the Zhentarim are a threat to the Thieve's Guild so Miss Rana if you really don't care abt Keene or the Thieve's Guild why are you tracking them so closely... HMM!!!
all in all they're very much a toxic mess. I think they're on decent enough terms by the end of the game (keene is not happy abt Rana helping against the attack but she keeps her ego at bay). Rana's pretty much done with thieves guild stuff post game and so they're amicable and unlikely allies but nothing more.
Wyll is very much unaware until a very uncomfortable awkward conversation on Rana's part after that whole thing where she has to spell things out for him LMFAOOO

That the reason the fire in the Last Agni Kai is so huge is because of the comet why have I never noticed this before thanks for coming to my presentation
The way they show the Agni Kai between Azula and Zuko in Sozin’s Comet Part 3 with that slightly tragic music playing in the background gives me goosebumps. Just epic!
Short Fan Fic (Incomplete): Zuko’s first and last Agni Kai
(Sorry for poor gramma, had to write this down ASAP because it was my recent dream, Also posted on reddit Atomiceye (OC))
It takes place to the final agni kai when Zuko is fighting Azula and when Azula fires the lighting to Katara, Zuko takes the lightning and when he lands he redirects the lightning (what happened in the show) then he passes out. When he passes out it takes him back to his first agni kai with his father Ozai, the scene plays from the start to the moment he is about to get burnt, right when Ozai throws the flame Zuko from the future snaps in young Zuko’s mind and blocks the shot. Everyone is surprised, Ozai surprised and mocks Zuko, Zuko responds with “you want me to fight with honour? fine we’ll do it your way”. they fight it out and Zuko is using his dragon fire bending with the element styles he learned from Iroh’s lecture and past Iroh notices that he is using the other element techniques to fight, after a while in the battle Zuko wins and does the same gesture as he did with commander Zhao and shoots the flames right near his head, Zuko gives a speech sounding like Iroh when he gives wisdom, as he turned his back Ozai stands up and ready’s up his lightning Zuko takes notice of this as his ears twitches even with his back turned against him he quickly turns around and grabs Ozai’s hand that is about to shoot lightning, then he redirects it at the side of his face. EVERYONE in the arena is shocked and Zuko does not say a word as he looks at his father with disappointment and walks off the arena, Iroh chases after him and they both have a conversation. When the conversation ends it goes back to the present Zuko as he wakes up to Katara healing him.
