With your family AU, have Pidge and Hunk ever heard one of Lance's "your not my dad so don't act like it" fits and if so how did they react? Also, has Keith ever just handed over all parenting duties in regards to Lance to Shiro (only for like a day) as a way of 'giving Lance what he wants' or has Shiro ever voluntarily taken over all parenting duties for Lance as a way to show his actions have consequences when he does this?
This occurred between Lance’s outburst and the concert. (Part 01)
[The Voltron Family] (Part 02) When Lance climbed the stairs to head to his bedroom, Hunk and Pidge in the halls by the doors of their bedrooms.
“Dude, how dare you say that to Daddy Keith,” Pidge glared. “If it wasn’t for him, you wouldn’t have been adopted in the first place. He raised you under his roof and gave you food—”
“Shut up, Pidge!” Lance snapped then he turned to Hunk. “What? You’re gonna say something to me, too?”
Hunk just looked at him in disappointment. “You know what you did and you know full well what you have to do. You don’t need me to tell you that.”
“Lance! Get down here or else you’re going to be late for school!” Keith called out by the front door.
Lance just walked past Keith, blatantly ignoring him. He headed straight to Shiro’s car, not even giving Keith a goodbye kiss which was tradition, since Shiro was the one driving all the kids to school while Keith drive himself to work on a separate car.
Keith sighed and gave his husband a goodbye kiss. Shiro just looked at him apologetically and whispered, “Give him time. Drive safely.”
Lance’s treatment towards Keith continued and Keith was just so damn tired.
“If that’s what that kid wants, that’s what he’s gonna get.” Keith said as Shiro and him were off to bed. “Two can play this game.”
Shiro just frowned at him, “I’ll take him off your hands. He’s causing you way too much stress. You even have eye bags now and you don’t usually have those.”
“I know,” Keith groaned and then added a joke just to lighten the mood. “That kid is putting wrinkles on my beautiful face.”
The following days, Keith ignored Lance’s existence. He only acknowledged Hunk, Pidge and Shiro.
“Can someone please pass the rice?” Lance asked during dinner.
The bowl of rice was by Keith’s side and he didn’t move a single muscle towards the food to pass to his son, instead he just continued eating his steak in peace. Hunk and Pidge looked at each other and then at Lance who looked completely annoyed. Shiro was in the hospital for an operation so it was just them at home.
“Hunk, Pidge, tomorrow I’ll pick you up so we can all grab pizzas. It’s been a while since we’ve done that,” Keith smiled at his two children.
When dinner was done and Keith left, Hunk turned to Lance. “Hope that makes you happy, Lance.”
“Daddy Shiro, can you check my English homework?” Lance entered the clinic.
“Sorry, buddy. Kinda busy at the moment,” Shiro pointed at the phone he had pressed on his ears. “Why don’t you ask your Daddy Keith? That’s more his forte and not mine.”
Lance frowned, clenching his fist in annoyance. “We’re in a sort of ‘Cold War’ at the moment.” He looked down at his feet in guilt. “I’m not his kid right now. Well, more like he’s ignoring me.”
Shiro just hummed. “I wonder why.”
Lance looked up at Shiro and Shiro could’ve sworn his son was about to burst into tears. So he sighed and put the phone on hold, “Just apologize will you? What you said hurt him, you know that. Your Daddy Keith has done nothing but love you since day one when you were only 5, even if you didn’t feel the same. He tried so hard for you to like him.”
“I know that, but he won’t even look at me now,” Lance cried and he instantly tried to wipe his tears. “I messed up big time and I feel so bad.”
Shiro stood up, taking two tickets from his drawer and the he approached Lance. He showed him the tickets and said, “I sure do hope these tickets to Germany would be enough to make you smile.”
Lance stared at the tickets and looked up, “W-what?”
“I’ll accompany you to Germany for that concert that you won VIP tickets for. Don’t worry about accommodations. I got that covered, too.” Shiro smiled.
The smile on Lance face was so wide he literally could light up the whole town with it. He tackled his Dad and hugged him so tightly. Of course, he wasn’t aware that Keith paid for his plane ticket and that Keith asked Shiro to do it.
