I’ll probably be very quiet on this blog for a while. My grandfather passed away early this morning and my family is still in the path of the hurricane.

Will you really not be able to eat or much? If you need some money, I could donate at least a few dollars through paypal. Might not be much help but it could do a little?

I’m budgeting my money very carefully. I got about $1200 left for three months. That’s about $119 a week (hoping for less cause I’m one of the few who can eat on campus more than anyone else and hoard food) I also have to get home, a 36 hour drive which I want to save my $700 credit card for cause that’s all I got. Gas is 30-60 dollars a week cause I got two internships, leaves me like 60$ left a week for food, parking and emergencies. This week my friends wanted a freaking $30 Korean food night so I was already reallllyy low (and super unhappy) and she’s asking for $82. Honestly love, I just can’t ask people for money. I’m one of those people that just I can’t do it. I got myself into this mess by taking a job this summer I loved instead of one that lasted longer and paid for more weeks. But nonetheless thank you sooooo much for offering. I’ll figure it out, I may just “sneak” food out in my pockets at campus and portion my meals carefully. I’m not a breakfast person so I may just skip it.

I'm really sorry to hear what you are going through. If there is anything you need let us know and I'm sure some of us will be willing to help out. I understand what you're going through with your granddad cause mines going through chemo with a rare cancer that might not even go away with chemo, so if you ever need to talk we're here for you

Sweetie what happened???????

My grandfather just told us he is very ill and on hospice. But the kicker is he’s in the way of the hurricane, and he can’t leave with the evacuation. So now half of my family has decided to stay in the path of the hurricane and just be with my grandfather as he FREAKING DIES because his hospice nurse is leaving. What’s worse is half of my family doesn’t know and we’ve been instructed by my grandfather not too. And he told me specifically not to come because he wants me to stay in my semester abroad. Which of course they way he said it sounded like his final words kinda deal. I’m so upset because I lost my last grandfather when I was in school but I was so much closer to this one. I’m in physical pain with this. BUT BETTER my roommate out here got towed the other day. I suggested the parking lot but not the space but I honestly didn’t know she would be towed there. And she said she was upset, which I totally understood. But now TODAY of all days two days later after I already woke up early to drive her to the place to get her damn car and told her to keep me updated so I know she’s safe she’s decided to tell me she’s not only MAD at me but wants me to pay half the tow bill and is demanding an apology like I meant her to be towed! I don’t have money for something like this I’m leaving week to week out here because L A is expensive. So now I have to pay her and go a week without food because of this. She didn’t even bother to ask what was goi g on. So I just called my mom to let her know that even if my grandpa dies I can’t afford to fly home even if I want to cause I have to pay SOMEONE else’s tow bill. And she has the audacity to act like I’m the better driver and I should have told her. I’ve had my license for a year! I didn’t freaking know! I just hate it when people act like everything is fine and I go out of my way to do something for them because I wanted to help because I DID suggest parking there (we would have been fine if she hadn’t parked in an area that was blocking the entrance partially) and then they all of a sudden decide it’s not good and start demanding things. And she KNOWS I can’t afford this. So she’s willingly asking me to starve myself because of this tow bill. I’m really really sorry, I just have no one else to talk to cause I can’t post on social media where family can see and obvs my friends here couldn’t give a shit. I want nothing more to just go home which is sucky because I honestly have been doing so great out here.
