The last few months have been a roller coaster ride for Infinit. And with the opening of the Infinit blog we’d like to hit rewind and offer you a look at some of the biggest moments in Infinit’s still young history.
In September 2011, Infinit was accepted to Le Camping, along with 11 other companies. Le Camping is France’s first and most well known acceleration program for startups. The 6-month program helped Infinit take form and grow from a PhD research project into a fledgling business. With support from a large community, several organized events and a strong European network, Infinit truly made leaps and bounds. After Le Camping’s Demo Day in December, we met our investors. Their first ticket went a long way.
In addition to a small first round of funding, Infinit was accepted into Scientipole and Agoranov, two public initiatives to drive innovation in France. We’ve thus been able to leverage not only our funding, but also the expertise of a supportive ecosystem. Over the past 4 months, our core development team has come together and our go-to-market efforts are taking form. Our alpha release is just around the corner with a date set for early August.
Along the way, we met some incredible people and challenging mentors. In May, one of them, Stephan Ramoin of Gandi, has allocated an office to Infinit at Gandi Labs, a new incubator dedicated to high potential startups that fit with Gandi’s own expertise in domain services and hosting. The team at Gandi acts as a group of mentors for Infinit, sharing their ideas and challenging our own strategic thinking. Combining the expertise of an experienced and growing company with the challenges of a startup allows for a true exchange of knowledge that can help Infinit be resourceful and sustainable in its own development.
The Infinit team now counts 7 brilliant individuals and in subsequent blog posts, we will be speaking with each of them to give you more insight into their backgrounds, visions and why they fit so well with Infinit and our company’s philosophy.
