Podoliak about the talks with the Russian Federation in Istanbul Details: Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the president of Ukraine, commented on today's peace talks with the Russian Federation. "Istanbul allowed to fix a list of the agreement points of utmost importance that were accepted for consideration by the Russian Federation. The security guarantees agreement essentially implies, not in theory, but in practice, to obtain an effective tool for protecting our territory and sovereignty. The countries with the leading armies of the world, including the ones having nuclear weapons, will become guarantor states that will take on concrete legal obligations - regarding the intervention in any conflict on the Ukrainian territory and immediate weapon supplies. Need to say that this agreement also allows to start to revisit the old model of the global security that was not effective in the current situation and switch to more efficient models.
