Ruby is casually chilling out in his living room, though that's short lived as Plagg just appearifies with such tangible sadness that he doesn't need to be a soul eater to know he's upset.

"Hey, Plagg? What's up buddy? I thought you couldn't come here alo--"

He's getting up, having casually started talking as he approached the kwami but stopping as he gets close enough to notice the miraculous ring Adrien wore.

Oh. Something bad has to be going on for him to even consider taking off the ring. Let alone putting it in a different timeline entirely.
