Froststripe Young Warrior | Currently questioning | Designed by @squirrelfights

One of three kittens born to Cragheart and Leopardstep, the timing couldn’t have been worse: the Blight was well underway and Leopardstep was ill, with the entire situation leaving Cragheart struggling to keep the Clan in order and having no time for his newborns. Though her mother survived the birth, she woke up to a cold body a few months into her life. Soon her two sisters followed. As a result, her father spoiled her, favored her and even slacked on his duties to ensure that his daughter was receiving the best possible care and training. He obviously got into a lot of trouble for this, and swung to the opposite extreme. Froststripe went from being the favorite and dotted upon by the Deputy to just another Apprentice.

A particular sore point is her name, Froststripe: her father did know of her skills in training bouts and hunting, skills she’d worked hard on to get his favor. She should have been Frostfang, not Froststripe, but that’s what he told Scalestar and that’s what they believed. 

She’s a cat of many grudges; though this one is close to her heart, she resents others over little things that she honestly knows she should let go of. Froststripe is slowly learning to discuss problems in private, though she doesn’t have the courage to talk to her dad about his hands-off approach to being her only surviving family. 

At this point the Clan is used to getting random gifts and apologies from this gal because she absolutely HAS to make up for being angry at them. Also a big cuddler, so earning forgiveness (even if it’s for thoughts she never shared) is a big deal; unhappy cats aren’t prone to snuggling at night, so. yea. Very good at figuring out what a given cat likes and doing it to return to their good graces.

Is currently questioning, but for now she accepts any pronouns, favoring she/her.

Technically, she shouldn’t be able to talk to Clan cats. Technically, she should be confined to her catio or her leash when outside… but the gal’s got friends in Ashclan, and they’ve dug her a little wiggle-room to get out and about! ;D

A purebred Bengal, she absolutely adores her two ‘Tallwalkers’ but also appreciates her freedom. Her Tallwalkers in question are a history teacher and his 10-year-old son; her name comes from a certain historical figure and the kid’s favorite cavity-inducing cereal. They have a collection of little bandannas they put over her collar, mostly plaid, maps, memorable quotes, Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings references.

Alex is very curious about Clan culture, but not in the usual Kittypet way; she’s genuinely respectful and has a knack for connecting the dots. She’s also wise enough to not ask any questions that would cause Clan cats to clam up due to challenging their beliefs/way of life.

She’s endless energy. A living zooooom. Will bounce 90% of the time to move and leaps everywhere for the hell of it… or, not entirely; she’s a shitty climber, so jumping is the only way to get anywhere high.

 Terrified of small insects/arthropods; if it’s smaller than a toe-pad it’s hard to keep track of and nOT FUN.

The acest ace you’ll ever see; not sex-repulsed, though. And for the record, she isn’t neutered.

Rushtail  Young Warrior | A Boi | Designed by @squirrelfights

The only kitten of Birchfur and Beewhisker, his father died shortly before he was born of FIV. Other than that his early life was pretty nice until the Blight swept in. Being an Apprentice at the time, and one of the last to get sick, meant that Rushtail, then -paw, worked himself into the ground trying to provide for the Clan... and his mother, who didn’t look like she would survive. He actually stepped clear through a stick, confining him to Camp and to a few extra moons of training, where he then fell ill, too.

Thankfully he survived, falling head over heels for Possumfoot, one of the queens Scalestar recruited to boost their numbers. He is a naturally really sweet little guy, so both of them training alongside young cats when they were well into adulthood allowed for some Major Adorable Bonding. However, the damage from his wound was permanent; he’s got a slight limp, hindering his stalking and running at times, but he’s still an excellent little guy. Likes to sit up, as illustrated, to keep weight off it and look around; he’s got incredible balance as a result.

At first he was very iffy about his mother taking on a new mate, but having never met his father he bonded very easily with Barkflower; he sometimes helps his step-dad keep an eye on kittens and they can often be seen chatting in the shade.

Very bisexual and so indecisive, he still doesn’t know if he really is ready for/wants to be mates with Possumfoot. For the record, his mom says to go for it.

Cragheart Deputy | He is Lorge Boy | Designed by @squirrelfights

Somehow this guy is a great dad to everyone except his biological daughter, go figure. He is Scalestar’s third Deputy, their first and the replacement having died during the Blight, a hard-working fool putting all of his time and energy into ensuring the well-being of the Clan. Cragheart is wracked by guilt over the deaths of his mate and Clanmates, cryptically acting as though he’s somehow to blame; as a result he is an incredible pain in the ass when it comes to making sure cats respect young Lichencloud’s orders. Stay healthy kids! He’s also bossy in general, but in a cool dad-like way.

In an attempt to keep the memory of those lost alive, he’s adopted many of their hobbies: his brother Birchfur’s habit of counting berries on bushes, Brackentail’s  gossiping ways and his mate Leopardstep’s curiosity regarding Tallwalkers. He’s also finally obeying her wishes and learning dad jokes.

A very ruthless fighter, he’s gotten badly injured a few times as a result, hence the facial scar and constant squint in one eye. He’s very self-conscious about his appearance, really. Also allergic to pollen, so he has to stay around Camp during springtime and Lichencloud gives him special herbs once it’s a little more bearable.
