Her mouth flutters at the corners; is she smiling? I should know. I don't. The fire cloaks her true emotions.

"Shut up," Thereaux spoke, his voice sounding from dead silence. I turned to look at him, and regarded the way his face contorted with a very true agony and his voice strained as though worn out by a prolonged scream. "Shut up, Amaline. Forgive me. But shut. Up. Stop acting like you really care about what happened. Stop pretending that you want little more than the glory of the title "War Ender" Stop talking about the Goddess like she wasn't someone. Someone that mattered. She is more than just a drowned fairytale. I feel its time we all understood that."

Lahana, the deceased Moon Goddess and unintentional catalyst for the 4,000 years war.

“What about- Kadanu?” 

I scrunch my face. The name of my God had dropped from her mouth like a burn, a poison. I almost hadn’t recognized it for the level of hatred imbued in her tone. 

“What of him?” 

“He’s always portrayed as the type who wouldn’t want anyone else to share in his glory,” 

She stirs her milk tea with a finger that drips gold, her chin rested on her fist. 

“I honestly can’t fathom what you mean by that,” I hum, and bring my own cup to my lips as I watch her retort stir into fruition behind her narrowed eyes and tight mouth. Intriguing, the way she changes everything I know about her in just a few modifications. “He’s headstrong. That’s a given. It doesn’t mean he would murder his own sister. He is far too content with his own domain to go after any others,”

I haven't written anything more than a random snippet in M O N T H S.

I wrote 500 words of the opening for AGTI!

It's not much but given my C D and E keys are broken and I have to use the onscreen keyboard for those, I'm very happy!
