So my birthday is in 4 days, and in honor of it, I thought I would make an ask game!
🎂 Birthday Cake: What is your OC's birthday? Was it picked at random or does it have some significance to the plot or their character?
🧁 Cupcake: What was the best party they had as a child? Was it a family affair or did they invite a lot of friends?
🎉 Party Popper: Are their any special birthdays in the world of your story? What types of celebrations commemorate them? Does it differ between genders?
🎊 Streamers: What is your OC's favorite way to celebrate? Do they celebrate at all?
🎈Balloon: How do your characters feel about getting old? Do they abhorr the idea of aging or do they embrace it? Do they age at all?
🎁 Gift: What is your OC's favorite gift they've gotten? What is a gift they gave that they were particularly proud of?
🕯Candle: If their birthday wish had the ability to change one thing in the story, what would they choose?
Hi there! I've got this brand new blog and a dream, so I'm looking for fellow fantasy writers and book enthusiasts to connect and scream about fiction with.
Please only follow/interact if you're an adult.
— about me.
↬ Nohemi Hernandez / 20s / queer / Latina / she/her
↬ Currently residing in central Europe.
↬ Obsessed with Pathfinder 2e. I'm playing in three different campaigns, and it's still not enough!
↬ My favourite books are The Count of Monte Cristo and Luck in the Shadows.
↬ I've always had an interest in storytelling, but it wasn't until being diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease that I decided to truly give writing a try.
— about my writing.
↬ Fantasy. Fantasy. Fantasy.
↬ I love worlds that are in the throes of industrial or steampunk revolution.
↬ My stories can be a bit idealist and tend to revolve around themes of hope, understanding, and forgiveness.
↬ I believe in simplicity, and my writing reflects that. Sometimes less is more.
↬ I'm currently working on a fantasy web serial about a disabled witch boy, buried history, and a grand conspiracy. It's going to be looooooong.
— about my wip.
[CURRENTLY UNTITLED]
↬ When young witch Marco stumbles across the slumbering Luwen in an abandoned library, it's up to him and his cheeky familiar to find a way to break the enchantment on them while evading bounty hunters who will stop at nothing to get them back.
I'm looking forward to meeting everybody!
Thank you so much @katenewmanwrites for tagging me! Sorry it took me a little while.
I don't really have a main WIP right now, so these are from a previous/slowly added to project from a few years ago A Flower That Has Wilted
Dahlia, our MC- In reality, she's named mostly just because I really like the name, and because flowers and flower-motifs are a big part of the novel. In universe, she's named after the dahlia that grew outside of her mother's hospital room when she was born.
Myrrsha, Dahlia's mother: In universe, she was named after the kingdom she was born in. In retrospect, I could have pulled inspiration from the name Myrrha, though it was subconscious.
Eulalia, Dahlia's grandmother: Eulalia is one of three princesses from another planet. As a young mother she messed up a spell and opened a portal to earth due to a misreading/mispronunciation. In speech, echolalia is the unconscious repeating of other phrases.
i'm so, so happy that i got to grow up and start writing fan-fiction, if only because i just know that my younger self would be so excited to hear that i'd never stopped letting myself dream up something new.
the younger self that would race upstairs after watching a movie and imagine how i could fit a new character into the story i'd just seen.
the younger self that would spend hours reading a new series, and then even longer imagining all the spins and twists i could put on it.
the younger self that loved new stories so much that she'd feel sick to her stomach after finding out a book series or tv show had ended, that there would be no new ways shown to explore the characters and world that she'd fallen in love with.
i write fan-fiction for enjoyment. i write because i love the experience, because i love seeing people connect with and enjoy what i've written, but most of all, i write for that little girl, staying up past her bedtime with a tiny nightlight and a notebook, with stars in her eyes and ideas swirling in her mind, keeping her from sleep.
oh holy shit i’m obsessed with these titles and am in fact bookmarking this post to remind myself to go to ur blog and look for posts about these wips when i’m able to tomorrow
The Possession is with the copy editor now, and The Infection/The Absolution are with the dec/con editor! I’m hoping to have the first draft of The Desecration finished by the end of July and while I’ll be doing a fancy newsletter announcement of the release date later, The Possession IS slated to come out this year!
I’ve absolutely loved writing this series and I am SO proud of myself for ALMOST having it finished!
For the Seasonal Circle Spread, the entire deck is spread out in a circle and key points along the wheel are read. Usually this spread is read from turn of season to turn of season (from start of spring to start of summer, for example), but it can be done at any time. I use my intuition to determine the best start and end points if this reading is done mid-season.
For this reading (done mid-May), I read a teeny bit back to hit May Day, then forward for the 1st of June, Solstice, 1st of July, 1st of August, and the potential rewards to be reaped in the upcoming season thereafter.
Read on for the full spread and interpretations
May Day
May Day brought you the energy of the Hierophant. A good time to get things in order, you may already have felt this season bringing focus for new projects and building new habits.
First of June
June comes in with the energy of the Ten of Pentacles. Goals you have been working towards for a long time are coming into fruition.
Solstice
Solstice (June 20th this year) will bring a shift in fortunes. If you've made good use of the Hierophant and Ten of Pentacles energy, you will be prepared to weather the storms and reap the rewards of fortune smiling upon you.
First of July
The Four of Pentacles warns us to be careful of being miserly. Perhaps you put something away in preparation for the turning of The Wheel; now is the time to reevaluate using it. What is held onto is never lost, but it never grows, either.
First of August
The Moon suggests that all is not as it seems. Beware of tricksters, or deals that seem too good to be true.
Upcoming Season
If you play this season right, you will be rewarded with a new opportunity in the next. A new friendship or partnership is on the horizon, provided you've not stretched yourself too thin. This summer’s lesson is discernment, being able to determine true gold from all else that glitters. Recall the ant and the grasshopper, and remember that there is a balance to be had between work and play. While the ant may be full all winter, we are not ants. There is bounty enough to store some away for later and also to use some of your resources now to live your life and enjoy it.

Big thank you to all my volunteer querents for allowing me to use their readings for samples. You can find more samples under the tag #raevs sample reads, and can learn more about commissioning me for a read on my ko-fi page (or send me an ask here, I love answering questions about readings, decks, and all things tarot!)
Hi everyone! I’ve been scrolling on writeblr for a while now and making a couple of posts, but I realized I never really introduced myself!
My name is Abby, and I have been writing since I was in elementary school. When I was in middle school, my aunt helped me self publish my very first novel after years of working on it, but I quickly fell off the creative writing wagon in high school and college.
In the last year, I’ve gotten back into writing fanfiction, and it’s inspired me to write my first original novel since middle school. I’m currently on the first round of revisions, and I’m actually also on the lookout for beta readers!
My novel is a YA historical fantasy romance with a heavy emphasis on fairy tales and myths. If you’re interested in reading snippets or being a beta reader, feel free to reach out!
I’m so excited to continue my writing journey through both fanfic and original works, and I love supporting other writers, be it independent authors or fanfic writers or any other type of writer. I also LOVE seeing art inspired by books:)
If you get this, answer with 5 random facts about yourself and then send it to the last 7 blogs in your notifications. Let's get to know the people behind the blogs! No pressure though 🤍
