The yawn's big -- he sleeps real light, wakes up often, and he hasn't had any actual shut-eye in at least a couple of days. His eyes are a little glazed over too, and he's past the point of being grouchy; now he's just pliably amiable, too tired to have an argument of any sort. He's got enough energy to lift a hand in a sad attempt at a wave, though, from his place on the sofa. He thinks he was supposed to get something done today, but he'd hit a wall and collapsed on the cushions -- and he hasn't moved since, limbs too heavy to do much else.

"Hey, sorry. Haven't--" another yawn, just as huge-- "Didn't get much done today."

[ It's lancing, hot-knife up his spine and he wonders how he  ended up here -- doesn't remember anything before coming  to — doesn’t remember anything before coming to. And then — well, he’s lost track of everything that’s been done since then, but his nerves feel frayed, in a very literal sense. Everything’s a haze, and it’s getting increasingly hard to breathe — he’s given up on getting out. ]
