Anakin is a ghost by the door.
For a moment, as Obi-Wan sets aside his datapad, he sees the man he has become overlaid by the boy he once was — golden haired and blue-eyed and a storm of emotions — and the love that floods his chest is pride and joy and something bittersweet all in one.
His lip quirks up and he nods towards the chair across from him.
"Normally," he teases, admonishment light in his voice, "it's considered impolite to hover,"
Anakin flushes, his face fluttering through one emotion after another before shuttering. He shifts in the doorway and Obi-Wan smiles, indulgent and amused.
"Come now Anakin, I've never known you to be hesitant."
Anakin draws up, shakes his head, "It's nothing, Obi-Wan."
Obi-Wan frowns, not sure of that but not wanting to push him.
