it really does take a level of trust for me to use more formal/functionally archaic language (in casual conversation), regardless of the language in question... esp when it's not english or tagalog, i feel like it's easier for people to assume that i'm speaking in a manner that reveals i've only watched/interacted with fiction & it's just. steeples my hands. at what point can i reveal that i'm just fond of the dramatics invoked by it...
