If Adrien had never mentioned fanfiction, Marinette would have never, in the first place, let her curiosity take the better of her. She simply reckoned that if Adrien Agreste liked fanfics, then perhaps it wouldn't be as bad as she originally thought.
After all, Adrien had good taste, right?

Lol, I love fics where they encounter/engage with their own fandom. Set at, my guess is a low point in season 4? Ladynoir’s relationship is pretty strained. But it’s gearing up to be an angsty comedy so I’m very on board!
