My name used to be Ahaviel. I'm Ahava now. Long story short, I fell. I don't remember much, so I wanna meet someone who knows me. I had golden hair, brilliant green eyes, and pale pink wings. I wore loads of jewelry, and generally very light outfits. I was on the more feminine side of androgyny. I was adventurous and loving to a fault, and pretty much nonstop seeking new ways to have fun. My name’s origin story

I joined Tumblr because of the Supernatural (TV show) fan base here. I’d never Tumbld before, and I’m still learning about it. One might think that I chose the name Ahaviel because it fits in with many of the character names (and angel mythology) in Supernatural. One might think that, and it would make a lot of sense, but one would be wrong.

I discovered Supernatural in July 2016 (because I live under a rock). I had no clue about any of it (show, actors, cons, merchandise, fanfic) before. Over a year before that (April 2015), I was talking with a friend about a "shamed" part of me, which I could compartmentalize and stuff in a box and ignore for a while, until I got triggered again. (I have chronic PTSD.) And she suggested that I not call it "the shamed part," but instead give it a name. I thought about it (and I sometimes think in Hebrew) and came up with Ahava, which means love in Hebrew. I tried thinking about this part as Ahava, and it *sort of* worked. She was still this skinny, ugly, disheveled, nose-in-a-book, socially anxious, abused kid. And then in a dream, one of my spirit guides suggested that instead of seeing her through my (jaded) perspective, I consider how *he* might see her. Or mabe how someone with unlimited compassion and unconditional love might see her. And then it clicked -- again in Hebrew. It wasn't just "love" that I was struggling to accept. It was, in Hebrew, "God is my love" -- Ahaviel. And that skinny, disheveled, anxious, abused kid transformed into something bright and beautiful and wise and empathetic within me. Not that I can always tap into it, but she's not stuffed into a box anymore.

After all the angels fell (Supernatural Season 8 finale) and an inconclusive NASA investigation into the global meteor shower, a secret US task force came to the conclusion that angels walk among us. The task force determined they are powerful and therefore dangerous, a threat to the United States. Thus was born the American Council on Angel Affairs. Kept secret for four years, unknown even to the president, the ACAA devoted all their resources to finding out precisely how to control angels. They succeed, though not without casualties.

In the aftermath of the 2017 U.S. Presidential inauguration, after running on an anti-immigrant, anti-angel platform and winning the presidency, the new president has now made it law that all angels in human vessels must display their wings at all times or risk public execution. The public is rewarded handsomely for turning in suspected angels, and they do so love a bloody execution.

Although he'd successfully hidden again for years, Gabriel is betrayed, imprisoned, and sentenced to death. His only hope is Castiel, who would need to risk his own capture, along with two hunters, one of whom would like nothing more than to see Gabriel dead.
