my experience from the ahbl sydney con (very  VERY long)

(ps i tried to write everything in chronological order but everythings sorta a blur in my head)

I hardly got any sleep that night since I kept waking up every hour and wanting to leave already cause I was so excited. Finally got up, got ready and left to go pick up my friend.

My dad dropped us off outside the campus and once again, I got lost (ive been to unsw like 192842109 and I still managed to get lost each time).

But yay we finally got there after playing FOLLOW THE PEOPLE WEARING THE SUPERNATURAL SHIRTS. When we were lining up, I saw this girl and I swear I knew her but I couldn’t think from where and I didn’t want to freak her out in case I didn’t know her so I didn’t say anything.

We finally got inside and we went to our seats (surprisingly they didn’t check my ticket or bags… I totally could’ve smuggled my friend and a bomb in and they wouldn’t have noticed…). I got settled and went to try and find my tumblr friends seats and omG TULLY burntdean WAS THERE AND SHE WAS THE GIRL FROM OUTSIDE IN THE LINE AND I WAS LIKE FREAKING OUT. I went over to say hi and I was terrified itd be so awkward but it totally wasn’t and shes oh so v cool and just !!!!!!! we just clicked and yayy

We went outside to go buy merch and whilst I was buying my team free will POP vinyls I was felt like I was ambushed by Ella huntingsammy it was like AH ELLA BOOM HUG AHHHHH. bought my pops (which are the most perfect things ever) i went over to the random acts table and coloured in a misha, signed their guest book and participated in the video they were making. (here have a photo of tully, ella and i)

i went inside and went to go find zarife aka weirwo0d and BOOM I SAW HER FROM AFAR and i literally stood there for like 10 minutes trying to get up the courage to go say hi to her cause i was so nervous (we’d be friends for a while, shes even on my collage of friendly friendly people which i carry around everywhere and its because of that i was even more nervous to meet her irl). but i finally went over and wowowo shes so awesome !!!

4 of us (tully, zarife, louise and i) went ouside to buy tokens (ella had already bought hers) and i completely failed at maths and kept trying to give them the wrong amount. finally managed to buy my tokens and we were juts chilling in the foyer when i see tully just freeze completely and begin to shake. i turned to see what she was looking at anD THE CAST WERE JUST WALKIGN THROUGH THE FOYER and i too started to freak out and just @!!!!! then tully and i both started crying and shaking asdkfnasle;kjawe;lfkASFJA:SLKjfALKSFJALKSFj (i was so shocked at how 3D they were etc… shhh this was the first time i had ever seen them).

we finally went back inside and got settled down for the welcome. blah blah the cast came in for the welcome and i took some photos.

then it was time for the photo ops. whilst the lines were called up one by one they decided to run trivia and they were looking for volunteers. i was near the back of the hallish so i didnt think theyd choose me but #yolo and i put my hand up. and holy shit i got chosen to go up. and the thing about me is that i hate public speaking. i had to do a presentation in front of about 50ppl one time and i had to be sent to sick bay cause i was throwing up because i was so nervous. like i honestly dont do public speaking so going up on stage and particpating in trivia in front of like 300 people was very daunting. but i went up and thanks to the fanfiction i had read that morning (which has conveniently enough mentioned sams birthday, his SAT score etc) i won!!! so that was fairly shocking and i got my seb roche autograph and went and took my seat (my legs were still shaking).

they did a round of celebrity heads and then the finale played. and i cant begin to express how amazing it was to watch the season finale in a room of spn fans. it was beautiful :’) everyone was screaming, and cheering and booing and crying and ella wouldnt stfu and was on the floor crying and it was just :’) the vibe was great!!

and then suddenly IT WAS MY TURN TO GET A PHOTO WITH MISHA and i felt like vomitting my stomach had like 193804102948102 butterflies plus a couple of spiders in it i was so nervous

i saw zarife, tully and ella have their photo and then it was my turn and i completely forgot what i wanted to do for a pose. i just sorta stumbled in and was like HI. and then he was like hey!! and i asked if i could have a hug and he said sure, come here and held out his hands and i just sorta shuffled in and hung on for dear life and he squeezed me and i dont even remember looking at the camera i juts remember snuggling into his elather jacked and staring at him cause he was so real and 3D and snuggly and beautiful and all i could smell was leather and it was warm and then suddenly it was over. he then said thank you and i said no thank you and we laughed and he gave me a wave. 

i walked out, my brain still frozen and i saw all my friends waiting for me. and then i just burst into tears (i was just so overwhelmed by emotions about how nice and genuine and gorgeous he was). i didnt even feel them coming just suddenly i was crying and crying and tully and i think it was ella were laughing and sorta hugging me and i managed to compose myself before walking back into the auditorium. 

went back in and talked to some more people, including the two girls in front of me and  and the people sitting next to louise ( carryonmywaywardjuan, avengelocked, sehrlokc i think those are their urls). we watched some more episodes and i annoyed the shit out of everyone in my row (i was in the middle) cause i kept going in and out which meant i kept climbing over them.

finally it was time for the karaoke kings photo op (matt and ricahrd) so louise and i left to go line up and once again my stomach was in knots and i felt sick. we got to cut the line cause we werent getting the king of hell, king of heaven photo op (misha and mark). when we were lining up, these 2 girls (miranda and uhh emily?) came and stood next to us and we started talking. then all of a sudden misha is standing next to miranda and we’ve all sorta frozen and just staring at him in the line with us being a lil shit with his stupid smile and annoying the photographers to death probably. eventually he left to go join his photo op and then ta da it was our turn. went up to the two of them and the convo went something like this

louise: hi can we get a piggy back from you guys or…? matt; pardon? me: is it alright if you piggy back us for the photo or would you rather a normal photo??  matt: uh its all up to richard *gestures to richard* richard: nonono matt you choose! matt then agreed and i saw him bend down and say 1, 2, jump to louise who hopped on his back. richard went over to me and bent down slightly (im the same height as him) and i climbed on his back (before hand i was freaking out that id like fall over getting on etc and embarrass myself in front of them but nope it didnt happen!). i wrapped my arms around him and just smiled at the camera. i saw matt put louise down and relaxed my grip around richard expecting to be put down but he just tightened his grip and walked over to miranda and emily (with me still on his back) and said: NEXT PHOTO! 

he put me down and we had a good laugh (hes so much like gabriel irl its scary!)

i then went over to matt and asked for a hug and he said sure and opened his arms. as he went to hug me, louise was standing a lil bit too close and he accidentally punched her. he immediately began to freak out and was like oh god im so sorry, are you hrut! im sorry. louise was completely fine since it was quite light on her hand but just a bit shocked from the whole experience. so i hugged matt who smelt very nice and was a lot taller than i expected him to be and lulu hugged richard and we said bye and they wished us a nice day!

we went back in for corins panel. i sat by ellas feet (she was in the aisle seat) for the beginning so I could take some good photos. his panel was really entertaining and I learnt so much more about him and his career than i knew before and he just had an air of confidence around him that was rather refreshing and it was a nice time. 

kevinfreakinsolo4ever came over at this point and said hi to me (i had been on tumblr earlier and saw she has posted a photo of me during trivia and i reblogged it telling her to come over and say hi) and she was very friendly and lovely and alskdfj!!!!! we had a nice lil chat.

they let us out for lunch now cause they were running late (someone *cough mark cough* slept in or something). i went out for lunch with louise and tully and we wandered around till we found the food court. whilst louise was buying food i went and complemented heaps of peoples (such as selflesscas) cosplays cause honestly they were all so amazing!

when we were walkign back i saw the person cosplaying as bobby puny-godjamit and it was so fab that i went over to praise them, however i think i spoke at the wrong time and she began choking and like dying in front of me and oh god i felt so socially awkward and it was just such a funny and awkward moment haha. i sortve awkward turtle shuffled away.

tully, louise and i went and sat outside and zarife saw us and joined us. we had a nice talk and we all added each other on fb and laughed at old faecbook profile pics (tullys is the funniest shit ive ever seen omg) and at bad teachers and the way we all got along so well just made me feel so happy inside and just !!!!!!! 

we went back inside and i got ambushed by ella who wanted to borrow my 3G. so i was sitting by her feet in the aisle so she could use it when bam it was time for mitch’s panel. he was walking down the aisle (where i was sitting) and i was freaking out like oh god hes going to walk on me and the hub people are gonna get pissed and im gonna get kicked out oh god oh god so i just jumped on ellas lap. mitch paused when he got to us, looked at us and said “that looks comfortable” before winking and strutting off (yes strutting. ella and i both agree he has so much sass when he walks). ella finished with the internet and i hurried back to my seat. 

mitchs panel was so different to what i was expecting and although parts of it i didnt understand since it was about his old work, he was very sassy and fun and gave good insight and stories about what it was like working on the set of supernatural. though the entire time he was playing with his shoelaces and it was funny and irritating at the same time.

he then proceeded to draw on a shirt and auction it off and his shirt said something along the lines of

Grandpa Samuel says im special azazazlalzalalleal

(he couldn’t pronounce azazel during the panel (like nemo and anemone) so thats how he said and he thought itd be funny to put it ont he shirt). At the same time Corin was doing his one which ended up being a boob shirt. Which he liked to keep on repeating. Over and over again. boob shirt. come on guys buy the boob shirt.boob shirt.boob shirt.

As the bidding was happening suddenly a wild mark appears down the back of the hall and keeps bidding low amounts such as $3 despite the fact it was already up to like $90. He then bidded again and said 38… DOUBLE D. making everyone laugh again. 

eventually it was marks panel and man he is such a cutie (as seen by my  photos here). and gosh his voice and accent <3 (hello sydney, hello guys but unfortunately no hello boys)

His panel was amusing and he avoided answering every question. I honestly don’t think he answered any of the questions he was asked and he found it hilarious. There was this girl who tried asking him a question but she was honestly quite nervous so he started walking towards her slowly making her more and more nervous and she looked like she was about to cry by the time he reached her and he gave her a hug and it was so adorable but hes so evil omg. 

He spent the entire time talking about sex, and innuendos and the fact that he is now 50 since it was his birthday that day(the crowd groaned and then of course he went on about how the fact that even though he was old now he could still get some) and ended up inviting like the entire room up to his room (602) for some time alone. ella asked him what it was like kissing jim beaver. He was hilarious and just the things he said were so inappropriate haha and once again his accent <3 (heres another photo of him)

at this point in time i really needed to pee so i ducked out thinking mark would be doing his shirt but apparently he wasnt actually doing a shirt and after like 8 people cut in front of me in the queue for the toilet i managed to miss the beginning of matt and richards panel :((

so i walked in and all i heard was TUMBLAHHHH TUMBLAHHHHTUMBLRTUMBLLLAAAHHHHHHHH . needless to say i was very confused.

But wow they were hilarious. They were obviously good friends and were just so comfortable with each other and unlike the other people who just stayed up on the stage they roamed the audience etc.

Matt spent the entire time seductively saying “tumblllaahhh” and talking about smut fanfiction and Jensen ackles “luscious, beautiful lips” whilst Richard just joked around and was a sarcastic lil shit. They told the plane story which was hilarious. But at the same time they were so sweet and genuine and thanked us and the fandom for being so supportive and it was so heart felt and :’)

Someone asked matt what it felt like to be attractive and he was just so grateful for the compliment and started talking about how he doesn’t see himself the way we see him so whenever anyone compliments him he’s always blown away and once again he’s so grateful to us etc. then he went on to tell us that he had only ever known what it was like to be in close contact with something so beautiful. I was convinced he was going to start talking about his wife but nope. He started talking about the time he was acting a scene out with Jensen and he couldn’t stop staring at jensens gorgeous lips.

Louise asked a question so matt walked over to us and cause we were in the middle of the row he was like climbing over people to get to us and then he stood right in front of me (more like on me) and it was a rather glorious moment and I couldn’t help but stare at him because guys he is actually so pretty irl. 

They talked about their porn names and I swear they were even more inappropriate than mark. They also told the story about mishas orange underwear.

Towards the end matt was still going on about smut fanfiction and Richard was going on about smut fanfiction and then matt started caressing Richards chest and getting lower and lower and was commentating on it like

“matt stroked Richards chest gently, with only a layer of clothing separating them from direct contact. Richards heart began to race” etc etc.

Louise had to leave so then I was left alone. 

Finally their panel ended and they did their shirt. Richard’s shirt was an “I <3 dick” shirt with a very “attractive” self portrait of him at the front and it saying I <3 dick at the back.

Then it was matt’s shirt, who also did a boob shirt. When corin complained that he had already done a boob shirt but matt retorted that his boobs were bigger.

Okay I cant quite remember what his was but i think it was matts (it could’ve been Richards) shirt that got shoved down mishas pants. So basically it got up to $250 but they wanted more so they asked us whether we would bid more if it was in mishas pants? Everyone was like yeah!! And then matt was like I don’t know why anyone would want to touch anything that has been in his pants. I know I wouldn’t want to go there. He paused then said sorry I meant I wouldn’t want to go there… AGAIN. Then once again started talking about all the fanfiction thatll be written cause of that comment.

Matt and Richard ran off and dragged misha in, pulled him up on stage, handed him the shirt and was like shove this down your pants. Of course misha was like wtf and after much persuasion and faking it he shoved it down the front of his pants then out the back. He then rubbed it all over Richards face who was desperately trying to get away. Matt then started the auction again, holding the shirt by 2 fingers and as far away from his body as possible. Eventually it sold for $400 and once again corin complained that it was sold for more than his. (the video i filmed of that is here)

Mishas panel now!!! (photos 1, photos 2)And wow I was blown away by the wittiness of everything that came out of that mans mouth. He was so entertaining and lively and gave good insight on everything and was sarcastic and I cant begin to explain how happy I was during his panel. So they were running late and misha knew that and thought itd be funny to be even slower. At the last question he had a nice lil talk with her. And then started texting people. Then he did the selfie. And we made him tweet it and he was like how do you spell mardi gras and everyone was on his twitter waiting for him to tweet it.

Misha talked about j2, and pranks, and west, and pranks, and how much he hates jared, and TSA, and his side of the underwear story and his thoughts on demondean and it was such a beautiful hour. 

He then made his t-shirt which said “this is my fancy shirt” and auctioned it off after rubbing it over his body etc.  

Autograph time! Whilst I was waiting for my turn I started talking to the person on my right and her friend and we played with her toy impala and my pop figurines. I went in to collect my photos (misha photo, matt/richard photo) and askldfja;sldfk I almost started crying again cause it just made me remember the photo ops. Went up to a couple of hub staff and thanked them for the effort etc and they looked really touched and so we had a talk about the day. Went back into the hall and the girl that was sitting in front of me came and gave me a hug goodbye. We talked about our photos and netball and then she looked at me and asked what school I went to. i told her and she said WOAH NO WAY I GO TO *insert school here (this school is like my schools rival school etc)* and it turns out i had umpired her netball game the other week *cue its a small world after all*

Went and lined up for my matt autograph and then it was my turn and I gave him the photo and he looked at it then me and was like ahh a strange yet fun photo and I was like “the best type of photos!” and he laughed and agreed with me. He then read my name and asked how to pronounce it. I told him then he repeated it and said it was a very nice name. it was sorta silence for a while cause i once again froze and then he asked how I was finding the con? And I said that it was my first time and I was so tired I cant imagine how he must feel and he said that yes hes exhausted but all the fans etc make it worth it and he doesn’t even feel tired when hes around us because of the vibe and how lovely everyone is and how kind they are to him and it made me tear up, this man is so genuine and lovely and i agreed with him. he finished my autograph and i walked away before i could ask him to say hi to mandy for me! (urgh so annoyed at myself for that. first i forget to bring the letter i had written to him to the con and now i forgot about mandy!!)

i then had to go give mishas handler, bek, my letter for misha. it was a bit messy cause i had to talk to her but at the same time i wasnt getting an autograph. so i sorta pushed past people and was finally like IM NOT GETTING AN AUTOGRAPH IM JUST HANDING IN A LETTER PLEASE LET ME THROUGH IM NOT CUTTING IN. i finally got to bek and i thanked her for all the help she had been on facebook. 

I then stood outside and waited for the reprint of the matt/Richard photo for louise. I joked around with the guys at the printer who looked at my photo laughed and asked whether it was the best 10 seconds of my life and I laughed back and said nope of my life and they were all like wooaaahhh *putting their hands up in surrender* etc. 

Zarife then came out and I said bye to her and gave her a hug. Then tully came out and although we both had to go we waited for ella and I got my reprint. As we were waiting I hear someone call out in the autograph room HEY MISHA WE HAVE A PLANE TO CATCH YOU KNOW and he shouted back NO and gosh hes such a dork. He was purposefully taking a longer time to stress them out which was a bit of a douchy move (just considering how late they all were and they actually needed to get on a plane) but at the same time considering how Bek his handler talks about him it probably wasnt a douchy move and he was just having some fun. 

ella finally came out and freaked out about her autograph and then i said bye and left :)

okay overall it was the most amazing experience of my life. the people i met (cast and friends) were all so kind and all these people understood you. they understood your love for the show and didnt judge you for it or called you a loser or anything for loving a show so much it hurts. they embraced it and i just felt so at home with them all and i had such a fun time and the vibe was fantastic and i honestly cant describe what it was like. but i have never been happier in my life and i cant wait to go again :)

all hell breaks loose!

my experience at AHBL V under the cut! <3

So on the 30th May, I set out with my girlfriend, ladyoftheblacklake, to All Hell Breaks Loose in Sydney. We were to meet universalromance and allmysteriouswithyourcheekbones there, as Liz and I had to work and couldn't leave until later. After a little bit of kerfuffle when Liz forgot the trenchcoat, we were on the road and headed to Sydney. 3.5 hours of chatting, snacks and Supernatural music followed (my girlfriend is an A+ roadtrip companion, which bodes well for our future endeavours), and by 8pm we'd arrived and managed to find a park in Sydney city on a Friday night (a feat we weren't really sure we'd be able to accomplish).

  So we went up to the event room for the sing-a-long, and hung around awkwardly. We got a glass of wine each and settled in to wait, Mel and Erin having been held up. Before they got there, Richard and Matt came on and started to chat to the crowd. They were entertaining and brilliant as ever, laughing and being silly and clearly very very skilled and practiced at interacting with fans (Matt Cohen in particular, the little minx). Mitch Pileggi and Corin Nemic were also hanging around, and at one stage a random lady came and dragged Liz and I up to say hello to them. What followed was a super awkward conversation, but both men were absolute sweethearts and Corin gave us both a lovely kiss on the cheek as he departed. I was impressed with both of them throughout the con, they seem like such awesome men.

  Anyway, we were still waiting for Mel and Erin to arrive so I ducked out to call them, walking around the lobby. Almost ran into Mark Sheppard having a chat, so pulled what I'm sure was an extremely awkward face and turned around. Soon Erin and Mel arrived to the dulcet tones of Richard Speight Jr and we were all very excited! The karaoke was very entertaining and at one point we had great fun being awkward with Richard Speight Jr, very obviously sitting near him. I hope we didn't creep him out! :P

  Eye of the Tiger (eyebrow of the leopard, if you ask Richard) was the second last song (of course), followed by Carry On Wayward Son. Which was an excellent way to end the evening!

  We went back to our hostel (only took a few wrong turns on the way) and had an excellent time chatting. We settled into bed ready to get up bright and early for Saturday!

  Saturday morning came and saw us cosplaying it up - me as Dean, Liz as Steve!Cas, Mel as regular Cas, Erin as Charlie. We all did pretty excellent on the cosplay front, I should say. :D

  We arrived relatively on time and were able to line up for our autograph and photo tokens. In the end I got autographs from Misha and Mark, and a photo op with Misha for me and Liz and with Misha, Mark and Richard for me, Liz and Mel. We headed on in to the theatre and were treated to trivia, a repeat of the s9 finale (because pain is always good, right?!) and then an excellent intro Q&A with Corin, who was lovely and very entertaining. Misha photo ops began and Erin came back from hers elated (rightfully so, Misha picked her up, lucky thing!) and Liz and I headed off for ours - which was amazing. We got a bit more time with him as the camera wasn't quite set up properly, and I got to tell him thank you for GISHWHES, and that it had been part of bringing Liz and I together. To that he gave us a fist bump and was super sweet, giving us both a big hug. I look super dorky in the photo, but the experience was fantastic.

  We then watched the Mitch Q&A, which was great. Mitch seemed really disappointed by the s6 Campbell storyline, and seems to think that as fans we don't like his portrayal, which IMO is not right - I thought he did a great job of Grandpa Campbell, but just wish the storyline had been a bit more solid, which is not even slightly his fault. Oh well.

  We also had the group photo, which was brilliant and hilarious. We did Angels vs Demons (with human!Cas!Liz cowering under Misha), with Angels wearing sock monkey hats (Richard wore mine as a beard, because he is excellent). The resulting photo is absolutely hilarious and one of my favourite things ever.

  Following that was the Mark Q&A which was just utterly amazing. Not only did he show such a deep understanding and appreciation for fans, which was just astouding, he also confirmed Crowley as pansexual and showed a brilliant understanding for the importance of varied representation of queer characters. He was smart, sweet, cheeky and funny. Everything I hoped he would be, and more.

  Richard and Matt were up next, telling hilarious stories, making (somewhat embarassing) references to tumblr, having fun with the audience and generally being ridiculous and adorable. To sell his shirt for more, Richard got Misha to put it down his pants. This fandom is ridiculous and amazing sometimes.

  Misha's panel followed, and as expected he was incredibly entertaining. He wore a flower crown, talked about West outshining him, and was generally just incredibly entertaining.

  What a day! After that we had autographs, which was supremely excellent. I got Mark's and got a lovely smile from him (and he later threw a packet of tissues at me whilst bored). Then Richard's for our friend Elise, and he excellent wrote "why the hell aren't you here" on hers. Then Misha's. Which made me cry a little. And I got to give him a personal note I had written, which was all I wanted, really.

  It was an amazing, crazy, emotional day.

  We set off back to the hostel and encountered the madness that is Sydney traffic - what a nightmare! They closed off one of the main streets, leaving us circling for hours! But eventually made it back and enjoyed a quite couple of hours chatting and set off back to Canberra the next morning.

  Two wonderful days with wonderful people, and I'm so glad I was able to do it. <3
