GOD the idea that Sonic's free spirit and need to explore the world affects Tails so much,,,but Sonic can't change that bc that's just who he is AAA
EXACTLY!! Sonic cannot stay put, he needs to explore, to run, to find different places to stay at nights, to live like the wind. and he can't really change that (and maybe he has tried to in the past but to no avail.) and ofc all of it has affected tails.
I like to think that at some point, sonic kinda forces himself to leave tails on his own more often, as a means to cope with his insecurities of whether he is doing a good job as a big bro or not. running=a means to clear his head. but tails doesn't see it that way and thus, misunderstandings and a distance between them occur:)
