My take on Stolas I think is like. The extreme opposite of where he currently is because I can't stand his canon counterpart. Mine does still have his faults though. He doesn't concern himself with his status I suppose because of all the unhappiness it brought him so in his mind it doesn't bear much importance even when Stella brings it up because it worries her for how it will look on her and Octavia, but he goes along with it for her sake until he meets Blitz. He definitely almost shuts down when it comes to anything involving their arranged marriage. And his love for Blitz blinds him and makes him stupid. Of course neither him or Stella should have to be stuck being unhappy but he is quite inconsiderate when it comes to what it might look like for Stella and his daughter if he's with an imp because like it or not they are considered lower class

Yap on Stella & Stolas' relationship in my rewrite

I'm writing her character in a way where she tried desperately to make this relationship work and TRIED to be happy from the start because of how much pressure her obligations had/have. Of course she knows it's the same for Stolas but he is so much more "careless" in this aspect. And it frustrates her he seems to not factor their status in. Since the beginning of their arrangement he's been so quiet, increasingly unhappy no matter how hard he attempted to hide it from her and so emotionally distant especially when Octavia was born.

in current times they'd have kind of figured out how they'd go about it now that Octavia was much older. They'd stay "together" for appearances, and still live together for Octavia's sake, despite the fact

- they'd begin arguments as Blitz came into the picture because Stolas increasingly pushes for their relationship to be public. (Stolas doesn't cheat on her because by this time they've basically been privately separated for a while)

- Stella cares extremely what her family will think about her

- Stolas seemingly only cares about Blitz to her. In some way maybe she sees this as him taking any chance to finally run away from her and Octavia no matter how it would affect them.

Also regarding Blitz I don't think she hates him. She has a sour attitude towards Stolas specifically.

Octavia would probably think Blitz is pretty cool. Especially as he comes around and would feel smarter to her than both her parents who she feels fairly emotionally detached from due to overhearing arguments and such
