Well look at that another progress report very nice that were getting there.

Well I won't dilly dally anymore let's get into it!!

SIKE!!! This isn't a progress report!! This post is about celebrating my mods birthday!

Or so it was planned. But as you might guess this got posted a little earlier

On the 9th of July 2025 I've started this project as a simple level mod which actually wasn't about reimagining the earlier chapter plot for Battle of the Birds at all!

However the project just evolved into what it is now over time and honestly I'm happy with the progress and all the custom assets I've created for this mod, especially considering that I was working solo with minor texture and art help from my boyfriend.

By the way for others wondering what the current act progress is, act 4 had been finished and I would've worked more on act 5 and 3.... However things aren't always sunshine and rainbows and I feel like I should be honest to myself and reflect on my workflow and the future of my mod because if I'm honest a lot had happened last month alone and I'm not proud for most of it or what others have done.

This mod is especially dear to me but unfortunately I don't have the same kind of energy as I used to have a year ago especially since I had just gotten out of school and was practically just full of free time and without a job to hinder me I just worked on the mod nonstop. But now I have less time and a whole job which in most cases brings me home tired. This of course shouldn't be an excuse for the lack of content and motivation I have however my job isn't the only factor in this.

Recently (especially the last few months) I've drasticly lost interest in A Hat in Time mainly due to personal issues and the fandom as a whole. And I just didn't feel the same joy I once had for the game and especially for my former favourite character, Conductor. It evolved so much that the mention of the game or him just gave me mixed feelings and even after trying to "factory reset" my perception of ahit and Conductor these past few days it didn't work out at all. So as a last straw I just stopped interacting or doing anything related to hattytime in an effort to at least preserve a potential future interest I might have with the game and its characters.

So whats going to happen to the mod? Will it be cancelled or will someone else work on it?

Honestly I have no idea what to do with the mod at all but it certainly isn't cancelled. It's moreso postponed indefinitely.

I will probably take a bit of a break from anything hat related since this whole year of when I worked on the mod really just messed with me mentally to a point where I'd just agonise myself over tiny details and replacing and remaking models for specific sections over and over again, contemplating if I should even replace said assets with custom once and my personality especially compared to when I started to mod has changed so drasticly too.

That's what I have decided on, however I might check up on the tumblr in... a few years...

Was a fun journey but it really screwed me up so thank you to everyone else and thanks for nothing to the people that I dislike
