$120 to shelter 1 family in gaza

hey everyone! i have bad news and good news. the bad news is that the winter rains have arrived in palestine, so refugees and displaced families are in urgent need of shelter, more than ever.

the good news is that, for just $120, our relief aid coordinator and his team can build a shelter for one family! that means:

for a family of 3, it's about $40 to shelter one person;

for a family of 6, it's about $20 to shelter one person.

our goal is to raise enough to shelter 20 families, total, who have recently been displaced to ahmed's refugee camp. this is the fourth campaign of 5, aiming to raise money for about 3 shelters. (the extra sum is the cost of extra shelters, planned to be split across multiple campaigns. message us if you'd like a full cost breakdown!)

proof of donation: feeding people in gaza

last week, you guys helped raise over $800 to help ahmed do relief work in gaza! take a look at what you made possible.

proof of money received:

on the left is the original screenshot of the bank transfer in arabic. in the middle, shimaa has kindly edited the photo with english captions to explain what each section says. after transfer fees and deductions, they were able to receive $899. last of all, on the right is the physical money in israeli shekels that ahmed was able to withdraw.

proof of relief aid in the refugee camp:

here are the pots of food that ahmed cooked and set up! you can see all the families and children who have come to eat. in addition, ahmed bought clean water to distribute around the camp, as well as baby formula (pictured bottom right) for those in need.

the original goal was $800 to feed everyone in the camp a hot meal, buy water, and get juice for the children. the extra $100 raised was used to buy the baby formula.

@ahmed9831 has been verified by el-shab-hussein and is number 161 on el-shab-hussein and nabulsi's list of verified fundraisers.

ahmed is raising money to evacuate his family and address their immediate needs. since the crossing is closed and no aid has entered since may, prices have skyrocketed. on top of that tumblr keeps shadowbanning and deleting his accounts, making it difficult for him to help his family.

please help his family. ahmed has been fundraising since april and is still far from his goal.
