“The engine is dead and we’re in the middle of nowhere. Fucking great.”
Once in awhile when time allows it, Alec enjoys partaking in brief drives through the city. He’s lived there long enough to know where each road will lead, and he’s been behind the wheel long enough to know that there are really only two things that are important whilst traveling on four wheels: gas and a sense of direction. And unfortunately, Alec had missed out on the latter.
Perhaps it was a result of his long hours behind the computer that day, but Alec knows that on a regular basis he wouldn’t let himself derail mentally while having someone in the car beside him. He doesn’t converse much in the first place, but since he’d offered the invite, it was only cordial of him to make sure the air wasn’t becoming too stale for either of them to breathe in.
“The engine is dead and we’re in the middle of nowhere. Fucking great.” Wonsik spits out as he jerks the passenger door open.
Alec watches as they lean against the window from outside, back turned. He knows they’re far from impressed.
The mutant follows suit and with little hesitation he pops open the hood of the car just to take a small peek. Nothing should be wrong- he’d just gotten repairs done the previous weekend.
“Hey,” Alec gently calls out, “Do you mind opening the trunk for me? There should be a spare battery- with that we’ll be on our way. I’m really sorry about this.”
