I saw this thing on Facebook where this director was auditioning an "AI actor" and it was so sad and one-dimensional. Like, the director would spend all this time fine-tuning their prompt and the "AI actor" would just do a weird, exaggerated "performance".
The kicker was when the director in question was like, okay, I have one other audition to try and brought up Milla Jovovich on Zoom.
Milla Jovovich then proceeded to do a performance that was a thousand times more authentic and heartfelt than anything the AI had generated.
So, I'm sorry tech bros, when your product is getting outshined by Milla goddamned Jovovich, it's time to give up.
AI Actress Tilly Norwood Condemned by SAG-AFTRA: Tilly ‘Is Not an Actor… It Has No Life Experience to Draw From, No Emotion’
SAG-AFTRA has issued a statement condemning Tilly Norwood, the AI “actress” who has become a contentious subject in Hollywood after her creator, Eline Van der Velden, recently claimed that multiple talent agents were interested in signing the AI creation. The acting guild believes “creativity is, and should remain, human-centered” and “is opposed to the replacement of human performers by synthetics.”
“To be clear, ‘Tilly Norwood’ is not an actor, it’s a character generated by a computer program that was trained on the work of countless professional performers — without permission or compensation,” SAG-AFTRA wrote in a statement. “It has no life experience to draw from, no emotion and, from what we’ve seen, audiences aren’t interested in watching computer-generated content untethered from the human experience. It doesn’t solve any ‘problem’ — it creates the problem of using stolen performances to put actors out of work, jeopardizing performer livelihoods and devaluing human artistry.”

Tilly Norwood's creator has responded to the angry backlash against the AI actress, saying she's 'not a replacement for a human being'
Norwood is the first creation to emerge from recently launched AI talent studio Xicoia, a spin-off from Van der Velden’s AI production studio Particle6. Speaking at the Zurich Summit on Saturday, Van der Velden said that agents had been circling the AI character and an announcement would be made over which agency would be representing her in the coming months.
The news sparked an immediate wave of resentment — and one parody social media account. Understandably, the loudest noise came from within the acting community, with several well-known names chiming in among the hundreds of angry messages left in online comments sections. Several suggested that the anger should be targeted at whichever agent signed Norwood.
“Hope all actors repped by the agent that does this, drop their a$$. How gross, read the room,” wrote Melissa Barrera on Instagram.
“Out the agents. I want names,” added Kiersey Clemons.
“And what about the hundreds of living young women whose faces were composited together to make her? You couldn’t hire any of them?” noted Mara Wilson.
Adding a touch of humor to the vitriol, Lukas Gage wrote that Norwood was a “nightmare to work with!!!!” and “couldn’t her mark and was late!”
Toni Collette, meanwhile, succinctly responded with a series of screaming emojis.
