Boycotting YouTube

Ok, I did not realize how much of a big part of my entertainment youtube is until I committed to not using it. I am certain there are others that are struggling, and have probably gone to youtube out of muscle memory. Thats ok! Habits are hard to break. Here are a few things I have done in an effort to "scratch that itch" of mental stimulation: * said hello to some family members *downloaded 5 Calls app to help call my representatives (not related to the youtube thing, the time to think made me realize how little I do to speak out) *starting looking up written tutorials about how to fix clothing *downloaded some games *put twitch on for background noise (VODS rn, cause my streamer isn't streaming rn) *been forced to reckon with how much time I waste on youtube Anyways, just some tips. good luck! i stumbled upon it on a reddit post while looking for a duolingo substitute cause fuck that bird, and i think its something worth promoting.

the app is yet to launch, but it is publicized as a non profit language learning software featuring no AI, ads, or paywalls.
