Wick’d is hungry

Voice Activity

            My cat wakes me up every morning by meowing or touching my face to feed him or to let him go outside. I never know what he wants. When I finally figure out what he wants I feed him and we both go on with our day.

            My gray tabby cat with green eyes and responses to the name of Wick’d. He is playful and always hungry.

Voice: Me

            I don’t mind waking up early to feed my cat or to let him go outside as long as my cat is happy I’m happy but sometimes I wish he could just do things on his own. Like dude its 6am, I’m tired and I want to sleep 5 extra minutes before I go deal with people! Okay now you are not being clear if you want to eat or go outside, stop meowing! Finally I know what you want. Ugggh why are you walking in between my legs this is obviously not helping me get to your bowl faster. Great now I stepped on you! “Okay, im going back to bed now!”

Voice: Cat

            “MEEEEEOW” that’s how I let my mom know that I am hungry and it’s time for my feeding. She is still asleep. Maybe if I touch her face she might remember me before I die of starvation. The big bright thing is up now and I’m starving! “MEEEMOOOW!!” She’s up! She doesn’t understand that I’m hungry why is she walking to the front door? I don’t want to go outside, I want to eat! “Meeeeow” I say as I’m walking to the kitchen. Okay, okay she sees me now! Omg omg omg mom found my food but she is taking forever to walk to my bowl, maybe I should help her walk, OUCH! Mom don’t step on me! Finally food, thanks mom, you’re okay.

One of my favorite memories of my dad

Scene Activity 

Childhood point of view scene:

“Apurense niñas!” dad yells out at us.

“What? We’re going hold on dad”

“No tenemos todo el día”

Finally were in the car after a long time of dad telling my sister and I to hurry. We don’t understand what his problem is. Why is dad rushing us were only going to go have dinner, the restaurant will still be there even if were late. We should be in Escondido by now. Why is this car ride taking us forever, ugh oh my god I’m hungry.

“Apa’ are we there yet?”

“Ya mero”

My sister and I are looking at each other so confused right now we don’t know where we are at. This is clearly not Escondido, where are we?

“Apa’ dónde estamos?”

“Ya verán”

Dad is just walking, my sister and I are just following him. We see that there is a lot kids our age 10 to 14 years of age and there with their parents.

“Dude, where is dad taking us?” asks my sister.

“I don’t know b.”

We are now at the gate, my dad hands the lady our entry passes but we still don’t know why we’re here or who were here to see. Were now waiting in our seats which are kind of close to the stage. We’re eating nacho chips and sharing a bug coke. We still don’t know who were about to see.

Lights turn off. Music starts playing, my sister and I are screaming of excitement we recognize the song it’s our favorite band. I turn over to look at my dad and I give him a huge hug. He just surprised the crap out of me. He leans in and gives me a kiss on my head and says “Me allegro que te gusto la sorpresa.”

Adult  point of view scene:

“Apurense niñas!” dad yelled ate us. He always yells I think he is going deaf our something.  

“What? We’re going hold on dad”

“No tenemos todo el día”

After a while of him bickering at us to get in the damn car we finally get in. I seriously never know what he is thinking and what his problem is. He argues with us for the smallest things it only food the place were going isn’t going anywhere that’s the point of a restaurant we could get there when want. Where the hell are we now I know this isn’t Escondido. Im starving I guess I should have hurried to get in the car and maybe we would have already been at the restaurant.

“Apa’! Are we there yet?”

“Ya mero”

Turn and give my sister this look that says where the fuck are we at? Clearly were not in Esco, where are we?

“Apa’ dónde estamos?”

“Ya verán”

Dad is just walking in front of us and ignoring us, my sister and I are trying to catch up with him he always walks so fast and he kind of walks as if he’s about to fight someone. Holy crap there’s a lot of kids here, why are we here?

“Dude, where is dad taking us?” asks my sister.

“I don’t know b.”

Were finally at the gate. The old mad hands the lady our tickets and were in. Sister and I are still clueless as to why we’re here or for who. We get to our seats by the way there not bad seats were on row 25 that’s pretty close to the stage actually. I’m so hungry that these cheese nacho taste like heaven and this large coke is so refreshing. Still clueless but hanging out with dad is still so much fun.

The lights are off. The music starts playing and my sister and I start screaming our lungs out, I can’t believe it dad surprised us and brought us to see our favorite band. I turn over to look at my dad and I give him a huge hug.  He leans in and gives me a kiss on my head and says “Me allegro que te gusto la sorpresa.”

My First Car Accident

Fear - Action

“Fuck! I’m dead” I think to myself as tears of fear and panic rush down my face. I just got into my first and big collision and it was all my fault. My dad is definitely going to kill me now! This is the worst day of my life. I haven’t had a day off from both jobs in almost a month and half. All I wanted to do today was just spend it with my boyfriend but instead I’m sitting here in my car trying to grasp ahold of what just happened. This can’t be true but it is. I can’t breath and my chest hurts so much. Oh my god Patty you are so stupid, wait how did this happen? I wasn’t on my phone I was actually paying attention to the road. I guess I just couldn’t prevent this. I tried to prevent from going straight into the Scion in front of me. I also tried to move over to the other lane but my steering wheel locked on me and my brakes gave out on me. How is this possible? My dad is not going to believe me, he’s going to think I was on my phone. Oh crap the lady is getting out of her car. I should too.

“Hi, are you okay?” she asks me.

“Yes, no, I don’t know, are you?”

“Yes I am”

“I’m so sorry”

“It’s okay, come on let’s move out to the side of freeway”

I have to look for my phone and call my dad and my boyfriend. I call my boyfriend first to let him know what just happened and I won’t be able to make it to his house. I’m honestly so scared to call my dad but I have to, here I go.

“Hi, dad. I, I just crashed…”

“QUE?!”

“I just crashed”

“Estás pendeja o qué?”

“I’m okay but the car isn’t”

“Where are you?”

“On the side of the 15 going onto the 78”

“I’m on my way, mija? Are you okay?”

“Yes….” More tears are coming down my face.

The lady I just crashed into she is so nice she keeps checking on me and she keeps telling me everything is going to be okay but she doesn’t know my dad I am more afraid of my dad than anything at this point. He is going to start yelling and saying hurtful things. She keeps telling me to breath but I can’t. I don’t have my inhaler on me. I feel so dizzy. I hope the tow truck gets here soon.

The tow trucks leaves us at nearby Denny’s while we wait for our rides and he takes off with our cars. As he is leaving my dad is getting here. I’m so dead!

I get into the car with my dad and he starts asking me what the hell happened and this could have all been prevented if I just had listened to him to stay home and not go out. Now what am I going to do without a car, he is not going to drive me around he is not my chafer.

Later that day we go look for my car in Mira Mar, as my dad is driving around I am so scared of every car. When my dad is breaking and tailgating other cars I go into panic mode and I have an anxiety attack, I can’t help but feel like I’m the worse person in the world after that big lecture my dad gave me. He just tells me to breath and that were going to the doctor. I just cried all day, that helps.
