Aido is man of science and logic and was absolutely positive of his views on the existence of the supernatural. But after having Kaede as a business associate for the last handful of years, his resolve on that belief has been shaken a little. He can't say exactly what he thinks is different about the coroner, just that he knows something is different.
Ilya has only met him a few times and thinks Kaede is just about the weirdest person he's ever met. He definitely sees the man's brilliance in his field, but thinks Aido is thinking too seriously about it. Ilya waves it off as the man having more than a few screws loose.
Kim stood in front of the mirror in absolute horror, only to find his face was no longer his. His surgery was an absolute success and it was his first time seeing his new identity. A hand slowly passes over each of the new features; much more sharper and masculine than his previous face. “Doctor…what did you do to me?”

Some say guilt is like a knife, but Aido knows that a knife isn't nearly painful enough. His guilt is like a poison, a festering disease that is rotting his insides. The blood has been long gone with his gloves but he feels the stains.
A prodigy doctor they'd called him when he'd graduated early, more diplomas and accolades than most had at his age. His sole dream of helping people was something he was actively doing. Even the few he couldn't save had at least been given everything he could give.
But this case? Aido should have known it would turn out like this when his meeting was scheduled in the evening, when the hospital staff was thinner, when most meetings weren't scheduled. He should have had more insight. But he's young, he wants to take on everything he can with eagerness.
"Give my son a new face."
They're words he doesn't expect to hear in the first place, but that are made worse when he's told his patient will not be able to sign consent forms. Forged consent forms, forced procedure, the best plastic surgery money can buy.
Of course he'd refused, a vehement no as he ordered the people out of his office. This man was filth, the lowest of low to do ask for such a thing dine to his son and think he'd get away with it. But his naivete had once again come to hurt him as suddenly men filled his office, one member of his office staff, three nurses, the barrel of a gun pressed to their head as some looked at him in horror, a couple with tears streaming down his face and pleading not to die.
"My son needs a new face. This will ensure he has a better life. Won't you give him that?"
He'd been asked the question as if he'd had a choice in the matter. A choice?! Go through with the surgery and commit a medical crime that would bind him to secrecy to keep his own license, or ensure his and four other innocents deaths.
His choice had been made before he'd even known the question.
Aido looks up at the patient he'd been caring for for the week he was unconscious, face healing from the procedure. There was still minor bruising but his work really was flawless. The best there was which was why he was so sought after.
The guy is completely unrecognizable from who he'd been when he'd been brought in, drugged and completely out of it.
"I..." Aido's hands tremble and the guilt constricts around his throat. "I gave you the keys to a better life. At least, that's what I'm told." and he'd saved four people's lives. But he doesn't add that part. "Are you in any pain? Any discomfort?" he's never wished to be able to read minds before but he definitely wishes he could read his.
my mom pulled out a condom and some lube from her purse and i was worried that she was going to be getting it on with my dad but she said she snagged them from the doctor's office yet she didn't tell me why
