Byakuya Kuchiki could search for hours, or even days in his permitted time in the Living World for something that reminded him of home-- elsewhere, and in a residency that he could not ever possibly explain in matters of the tongue alone. Everything was brighter, swifter a warmth that was unrivaled existed in the nature of Seireitei.
Noise-- there was not a moment of silence, or any such point he could label as tranquil-- and it bothered him; his head pounded with protruding force simply because there was not a moment of stillness in this world at all. Byakuya's life was hardly of disruption-- much rather of examination, inspection and otherwise routines that would be considered 'dutiful' for a man of his prowess and prestige.
In this world, that meant nothing.
