Speaking of #aikatsuplanet Warning ⚠️ more rant below. They are making a huge business mistake in keeping the Aikatsu game still under an arcade only system. They have tons of cards disperse in Japan and probably around the world. They could have moved the game to an online platform with either a subscription or play for free with pay to win system but all they did was change the screen to LED touchscreen. How can that be considered 'high tech' when it's been in the market for a while. Arcade game system is a dying industry especially within this COVID-19 pandemic. Sega Arcade Center in Akihabara closed recently and more closures will come. That means profitability for Aikatsu Planet will be down once it launches. This will kill Aikatsu series all together. If Bandai really want to make profit off of their games, they need to move to a mobile platform and make these games internationally available. Honestly, mobile platforms really lack a good rhythm game, they could have been leaders of mobile rhythm games. The fact that they can't innovate new games is very troublesome. Aikatsu News! ⚠️ lots of rant coming In January 2021, #aikatsuplanet will debut as live action and animation. The concept is that the idol in real world is transported to Aikatsu Planet and their avatar battles to become the top idol in Aikatsu Planet. I'm not really happy with this concept since most Japanese drama is too cheesy for me and most of the time their acting isnt that great. Perfect example Sailor Moon Live Action. I get that Bandai wants to younger generations to watch it but they need to embrace their older fans. If this live action kills the whole entire series, you know whose fault it is.
