All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is an entrance exam conducted by the National Law University, Delhi every year to admit students for a five-year B.A LL.B program at any law school, including coochbehar law college. AILETS are conducted once a year and designed to test students both at an Undergraduate and at a Postgraduate level. It is a 90-minute offline examination and conducted in English. An AILETS score one of the conditions necessary for applying to coochbehar law college besides CLAT.
The eligibility criteria for AILET 2020 are primarily based on two factors:
AILET 2020 Educational Qualification: Any candidate who has completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate is eligible to apply for AILET 2020 Exam. Candidates appearing for their Class 12th examination in March/ April 2020 are also eligible for AILET 2020 Exam.
AILET 2020 Age Limit: There is no age limit.
Total Seats: 80 (70 Seats are assigned on merit through AILETS and 10 Seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals).
Reservation: 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates and 5% for Persons with Disabilities.
The application forms need to be filled online and are Rs.3050 for General/ OBC candidates and Rs 1050 for SC/ST candidates.
The exam is conducted in offline mode and the paper contains 150 questions from five different subjects, namely English (35 marks), General Knowledge & Current Affairs (35 marks), Elementary Mathematics (10 marks), Legal Aptitude (35 marks) and Logical Reasoning (35 marks).
0.25 marks is deducted for each wrong answer.
Students who would like to study at a coochbehar law college must have an AILETS score for admission.
