12. what gets them flustered
Nothing used to really throw Em for a loop. Nowadays it just takes the right right situation or person to get him to swallow his tongue. There’s not really one thing in particular that’s guaranteed to fluster him, it’s more circumstantial, situational. Although, one could perhaps even make an argument about Ailieen as well.
14. what it takes to make them cry
The loss of someone he really cares about could reduce him to tears. Losing Ellis did. His mother too. Mostly because he faults himself, takes responsibility in some way for what happens to those around him. Back when he was recovering he occasionally cried in his sleep. Tears also used to unwittingly well up when he was overwhelmingly frustrated or when he’d come out of a particularly bad hallucination.
