It had only been a matter of time before tensions boiled over. People here wanted 'justice', and Alpha couldn't risk losing an inch when it came to control, so she had to meet every hint of transgression with violent retaliation. The gates had opened, her mother wasn't giving warnings anymore, now it was a war.

And she would win.

She always won.

The group had splintered, and the second she had felt it, she had locked a hand around Yumiko's wrist and RAN. She could feel it, she knew what a herd that big sounded like.

"We need to go up. And be still and quiet until they move on." The words were hissed through her teeth, a Whisperer again for a moment as she glanced around and then took off towards the closest house with access to the roof; pulling herself up.

          𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐕𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄.  her steps come to a stop as she waits for the woman to catch up.  ❝ how come you’re not going with the others ? ❞  carol was curious, after all yumiko had people to protect too.  carol figured she’d want to spend her time with magna instead.  with such a threat at large all time together is precious.  she wishes she could be home right now with her husband and her son, but the safety of the kingdom is at stake.  and someone has to be there to keep an eye on things.

             Connie   taps   Yumiko   on   the   shoulder   once   she   had   returned   home   from   standing   watch.   Though,   Connie   hadn’t   spent   the   day   in   their   new   home   but   rather   exploring   and   helping   those   in   Hilltop   that   needed   a   hand.   It   wasn’t   different   from   when   they   were   first   living.

“I  don’t  know  you,  but  I’m  guessing  since  you’re  inside  the  gates  without  a  big  fuss  that  you’re  okay.”  He  says  with  a  genuine  smile.  Hilltop  is  more  than  secure  and  he’s  heard  of  a  few  arrivals,  but  he’s  been  stuck  in  the  office  helping  Jesus  with  more  of  the  logistics  that  he’d  rather  not  do.  Jake  doesn’t  mind  since  he  feels  like  he  owes  the  man  more  than  his  life  and  he’s  just  proud  that  Jesus  has  finally  become  leader. He  does  miss  Maggie  though.  “My  name’s  Jake.”
