          Another   dead   end   is   met   as   they   walk   out   of   Alexandria.   She   walks   alongside   Daryl,   glancing   back   at   the   two   teenagers   every   once   and   a   while   to   make   sure   that   they   were   still   at   her   heels.   Though,   her   mind   runs   on   thinking   of   how   their   next   attempt   at   trying   to   keep   the   two   safe.   How   is   The   Kingdom?   She’s   only   really   picked   up   a   few   things   about   it.   After   pulling   out   her   notepad,   she   scribbles   down   a   question.

          It’s   been   a   long   day   of   traveling   and   it   felt   like   the   further   they   walked   from   Hilltop,   the   more   the   guilt   ate   at   her   for   leaving.   She   knew   Kelly   was   going   to   come   after   her   soon   enough  if   she   didn’t   send   word   that   she   was   well.   Still,   she   tried   not   to   think   about   it   much   as   she   walks   along   side   Daryl,   eyes   wondering   the   horizon   as   the   sun   sets   beyond   the   trees.   She   pulls   her   notepad   out   of   her   pocket,   her   pen   clicking   breaking   the   silence   as   she   jots   down   her   message.

             Connie   taps   Yumiko   on   the   shoulder   once   she   had   returned   home   from   standing   watch.   Though,   Connie   hadn’t   spent   the   day   in   their   new   home   but   rather   exploring   and   helping   those   in   Hilltop   that   needed   a   hand.   It   wasn’t   different   from   when   they   were   first   living.

            ❛    It’s   amazing   from   what   your   sister   can   do.   This   place   is   just . . .   wow.    ❜

She   sighs   towards   Beth,   who   is   a   new   face   in   her   adventure   in   meeting   the   people   of   Hilltop.   Yet,   there’s   still   a   rich   history   that   Connie   still   has   to   figure   out   as   she   slowly   gets   what   she   can   do   to   pull   her   weight.   She   can   do   anything   from   scavenging   to   protecting   those   who   lived   in   Hilltop;   they’d   just   have   to   figure   that   out   first.   /   @galaxysought  for  beth  greene  !  |  ♥’ed

         They’ve   been   long   gone   since   the   fight   against   the   whisperers   and   Beta.   She   knows   she   might   never   see   Kelly   again   but,   if   that   meant   this   girl   didn’t   go   back   to   the   hell   that   she   was   experiencing   for   so   long,   so   be   it.   Kelly   would   understand.   It   was   a   long   night   as   they   found   a   place   to   rest,   Daryl   was   out   finding   them   something   to   munch   on   and   Henry   was   just   about   passed   out   from   exhaustion.   She   looks   over   at   Lydia,   pulling   out   her   little   notepad   to   write   something   down.

         She   can   feel   the   guilt   eating   at   her   as   they   gave   Lydia   away,   back   to   where   she   belonged.   Yet,   she   didn’t   believe   that   girl   belonged   with   people   so   ruthless.   Nevertheless,   she   moves   over   from   the   happy   reunion   that   her   family   is   having   with   Luke   back   in   their   arms   to   the   small   yet   very   tight   hug   between   Alden   and   Enid.   Connie   waits   a   moment   before   he   finally   pulls   away   from   Enid.   She   signs,   trying   to   put   a   lot   of   emotion   on   her   face.

         She   watches   as   the   new   leader   of   Hilltop   is   slowly   taking   in   what’s   around   her.   The   girl,   the   one   they   picked   up   from   the   new   group,   was   still   locked   up   in   the   jail   cell   (   which   Connie   was   very   surprised   at   when   she   first   learned   that   they   had   a   jail   cell   ).   She   taps   Tara   on   the   shoulder   softly.

           She   looks   at   his   arm   as   the   metal   reflected   in   the   sun.   She   hasn’t   really   seen   something   like   this,   someone   with   a   metal   arm.   But,   she   knew   that’s   what   happens   in   the   end   of   the   world.   People   survive.   Still,   she   points   to   his   arm   as   he   was   getting   the   carriage   ready   for   him   to   return   back   to   Alexandria.   Her   hands   come   up   to   sign   slowly,   looking   questionably   at   him.
