As 2024 wraps up
I came back to my old Tumblr for the first time in forever. Looking at it now, it’s crazy to think how much has changed. Two years ago, before my last post here, I got into AI. MidJourney was what pulled me in. At first, I wasn’t even that into the whole AI thing. When DALL-E 2 came out, I didn’t think much of it. But MidJourney hit differently. For me, as a photographer and videographer, it was like finding a new way to create, and honestly, it became something I leaned on. It wasn’t just about making cool images. It helped me process things.
Then ChatGPT came into the mix, and I started using it for everything. Not just for ideas or learning how to prompt better, but for real, everyday stuff. It made me feel like the future wasn’t just coming. It was already here.
Later, I got into video AI with tools like Runway, and that took everything to a new level. Suddenly, ideas that used to just live in my head were becoming real. Storyboards, concepts, even whole scenes. It was all possible. Now it feels like there’s no limit to what you can create, and that’s exciting to me.
Living in Los Cabos and the East Cape these past two years has had a huge impact on how I create. The landscapes, the light, the vibe out here. It’s all worked its way into my AI art. Baja California Sur has been the perfect backdrop for this part of my journey.
Looking back now, I feel grateful for how far I’ve come and how much I’ve been able to learn and create. By 2026, who knows what will be possible with all of this. The tools are only getting better, and I’m here for it.
HZN is still alive, still evolving. It’s Always High•SEASON.
