There is no person who cannot become a saint.
It is enough to have a little courage, some simplicity, a touch of humanity, peace, and acceptance—that is, to accept everything that happens in life without falling into despair. Not for oneself, not for the Church, not for society, nor for the times we live in.
We Christians have many thoughts and often feel we are lost, that we are in danger. But is Christ ever in danger? Even while He sleeps, He governs the waves, the whirlwinds of the heavens, and the beating of our hearts. So if we do not become saints, nothing can excuse us—because everyone can become one. A thief on the cross recognized Christ as God, and by saying, 'Lord, remember me in Your Kingdom,' he was the first to enter Paradise and became a saint. What, then, should we become—we who have been children of God since our earliest years?
