If I were to guess, I think people are mistaking bronies for the entirety of the my little pony fandom. Granted, it seems that’s all the my little pony fandom is anymore but yeah.
Y’know, I would like to believe that’s true and I kinda wouldn’t doubt it? I mean, for a good while “brony” just became the catch-all term for guys who like MLP, so I don’t doubt that there are still plenty of people who still have that mindset.
But just...seeing some people defend “bronydom”. People who outright ignore the MASSIVE influx of toxicity, oversexualization, and oversaturation of adult or otherwise gratuitous content that utterly dominated the entirety of the fandom, or try to brush it off like it never happened? Or worse, that all of that, the way it was handled, and the way it spiraled out of control was entirely okay and nothing to get upset over?
The lack of self-awareness some people have is just MIND boggling!
