Honestly though it's never that Elektra is looking for or seeking a way to be human or more human - she enjoys being her own monstrous self; she likes the liberation of getting to be literally whatever she wants
But humanity is something else, a kind of understanding of what it means to be human and what her own existence - delightfully weird as it is - means, and she is seeking that
And maybe it just means hanging out with Aimo, bickering over who the best Arcadion fighter is, and finishing Aimo's food for them when they're too sick to eat
also! 🙈 (see no evil) and 📸 for Elektra
𝐎𝐂 𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐉𝐈 𝐀𝐒𝐊𝐒!
🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don't want to show other people?
Elektra is a good deal less guarded than Hector was, but that's not a difficult bar to clear - she's still very wary and quiet with strangers, preferring to disappear into the background to watch and listen, and allow others to lead the conversation. As a result, most people don't really get to see her silly, playful nature at work; that's something only Aimo gets to see on a regular basis, and other friends get to see occasionally.
She also... doesn't really like to show how aggressive she's capable of being, because she doesn't want to be that; it was so easy for Hector to get shoved into the role of violent asshole because he was a big guy with a short temper and getting angry was easier than being scared. So Elektra keeps a lot of that close to her chest, gritting her teeth and keeping her mouth shut and her fists unclenched so no one thinks she wants a fight.
📸 CAMERA - do they enjoy having their picture taken? what's their go-to pose? do they like taking photos? what do they take photos of?
Honestly, yeah! She does very much enjoy seeing pictures of herself. She made this body, sort of. She likes looking at it. Constantly bothering Aimo to take pictures of her - no real pose in particular, just kind of Look At Me!!! and probably moving so much the photos are, inevitably, blurry.
I feel like she's not particularly skilled at photography, but she does take a lot of pictures of Aimo - whether they like it or not. A lot of the pictures she winds up saving are of her friend looking exasperatedly at the camera... but no one can deny there's a little bit of affection in their rueful frowns, too.
Prompt: Aimo getting/convincing Elektra to cut their hair for them ❤️
Send me a prompt and I'll write a 4-5 sentence drabble about it. (Still accepting!)
Aimo's hair is dry and brittle against Elektra's fingers, and she holds it in one hand and the scissors in the other with equal trepidation.
"I've never done this before." She has memories - or instincts - of grooming, molting, shedding, and sloughing, but nothing so simple as a haircut.
She supposes Hector wasn't the type.
"It's fine if it looks bad," Aimo says, leaning back to grin up at her. "I trust you."
THE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE
yeah that's a perfectly accurate aimo face
they exist in-game now! will get to playing as them proper sometime in the future. but they're here!
aimo’s idea of ‘freedom’ doesn’t really involve interacting or communicating with other people, like making friends or going shopping or being acknowledged at all or anything like that, or even ‘freedom’ in the sense of making choices—their ‘freedom’ is based in physical feelings, like walking, running, flying, feeling wind and rain on their face, being able to look out over a wide expanse of space with their own eyes, moving or lifting something on their own, throwing a punch or a kick with actual strength behind it—that’s true freedom
because of that, they’re easily swayed and/or won over by people or means who can enable that freedom of theirs—and it’s exactly why they commit to being an arcadion fighter in the first place, because that physical freedom is their ultimate dream come true, no matter how false or harmful it may actually be, and it’s exactly how they’re taken advantage of by the powers that be
Hey, can I ask you some Aimo questions? 😊
1. For S9!Aimo: What do they think about the various (loud and whacky) fashion trends sweeping through Solution 9? Are they on board with almost everything, or are there some things they consider an absolute eyesore?
2. For KnightAU!Aimo: Any hints as to what they get up to when they sneak out with Elektra's help? 👀
well i can tell you right now that aimo is Not a neons person, they prefer black + gray + white + more subdued blues and purples, with an exception for like, teal + turquoise. they hate being flashy themselves in day to day life so they dislike seeing too much flashiness in others, too. and they absolutely do not do makeup at all. they don’t want fancy jackets or accessories or anything, just big tshirt, loose pants, simple shoes
they also think showing skin is tacky*
*unless it’s someone they know/like/think is cool, so everyone at the arcadion is excused (yes, even retsarra and his stupid open jacket. it’s cool when he does it. because they say so.)
basically they’re just like, yknow, vaguely hypocritical + moody + generally fashion-avoidant young teen. you know how it goes. except they happen in live in the biggest brightest setting possible, so them being An Angsty Teenager about style stands out. they’re bound to grow out of the pickiness and also develop different tastes as they get older and live life some more
AS FOR THE AU…… aimo likes high + windy places, so elektra probably gets them, like, up in trees, onto roofs, to the top of towers… aimo isn’t really interested in meeting or interacting with people outside, they just want the feeling of Freedom(tm). no need for shopping or grand adventuring or whatever, just… being outside.
elektra introduces them to hector and the others at some point when she’s comfortable enough to do so and aimo feels up to it, because otherwise aimo is Her Responsibility and Her Person and her brother is busy, so getting everyone connected is not a priority—certainly not until the plot starts plot’ing and aimo also realizes they can be useful/helpful
