The Grand National odds for the 2012 Aintree races are constantly changing and which horse is the favorite will depend on whom you ask.

Prince de Beauchene is well supported by Grand National bettors, thanks to his convincing win at Fairyhouse in the Bobbyjo Chase.

Ballabriggs, the winner of the 2011 Grand National is being backed as a repeat contender following his fourth place finish at Kelso in his 2012 debut.

These are both fine choices, but for my liking, the following two horses offer the best value for your money.

Synchronised

Odds – 7-1

Synchronised scored an impressive victory in the 2010 Welsh National over soft conditions. Stamina is never an issue, as this eight-year-old trained by Jonjo O’Neill won the 2009 Midlands Grand National at a distance over four miles. The thought that he is only effective on soft ground was debunked when he won the Leopardstown Lexus Chase this past December over good footing. This landed Synchronised as a favorite for the 2012 Grand National.

Burton Port

Odds – 16-1

Burton Port was an overlooked rookie in a Henderson barn that included the likes of Long Run and Punchestown in 2009, yet he won his first three fence races before finishing a close runner-up to Weapons Amnesty in the 2010 RSA. This promising start to the 2010 season was followed by a second place finish to Diamond Henry in the Hennessy. Injury proved to be a temporary roadblock, but Burton Port came back to run second in Newbury’s 2011 Denman Chase. Stamina will not be a problem in the 2012 Grand National for Burton Port, and he should be there right up to the finish line.
