Today I cleared my Google drive storage and Gmail by deleting all unnecessary emails. My google account breathed free after a long time and got almost 8GB of free space now. Now that I think about it... we're also like it. We carry a lot of unnecessary attachments and stuff which are not important. As a result, we cannot process things clearly, don't have enough space to store new stuff and are subjected to immense amount of stress. So just I like I did... take some time to clear the junk in your head... Get rid of anger, jealousy or even guilt about things of the past which tint every decision you make that affects your future. Delete all unnecessary attachments which take up space and hinder incoming attachments which have potential in life... If not for any specific purpose, just organize your mind for the beauty of it and enjoy the freedom you get out of it... Use the time for your own advantage... SPEAK UP🗣🗣🗣 While growing up, I didn't have a voice of my own. I hated reporting anyone because I always feel bad when someone is punished for my sake. I still feel that way though🤷🏻. One fateful day back in secondary school, one of my seniors sneaked out of the school which was against the school rules but I kept mum about it cos it was none of my business. Unfortunately for him, the principal caught him but he lied that my classmates were the ones who sneaked out and he just went out to punish them. That was a lie right but I still didn't talk until the principal declared a week's suspension for us. Ehh! Suspension ke? I then stood up to talk but no one believed, that was how we suffered for the crime we didn't commit. If I had spoken up earlier; 📌 He would have been caught and punished. 📌 We would have been free. Just like Madeleine K. Albright, “It took me quite a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent.” So now, I choose to speak up when the need arises. Not just for my sake but for the sake of the people around me. You Can’t Count on your Friends When I started my biz, I was 23 years old and had just returned back home after living in Nagpur for four years. I spent the next few years going back and forth between Indore and Bhopal in order to maintain in contact with college friends. In a strange way, I felt like I needed them to know that I still cared about our friendship and I would spend money that I didn’t have in order to stay connected to them. But soon, those trips were far in-between and slowly, I started texting and calling them less frequently. At first, I felt guilty. Like I hadn’t done enough to keep them around in my life. But those feelings quickly faded, my co-workers had become my new friends and I didn’t have enough time or money to continue taking trips to Bhopal.. I partied and shared my frustrations with my co-workers for the next two years. But then I started diploma training in automation and had to quit my job. Shortly after, I lost contact with the group of co-workers that I had befriended and my graduate classmates became my new friends. And so and and so forth, the people that I once knew and shared great memories with would come and go for brief moments at a time, only to be replaced by new people. So, if you’re like me, someone who cares about friendships, understand that the group of people who you are friends with now, will look differently in a few years. And that’s okay. Don’t fight it. Rather, enjoy the time you share together. Enjoy telling each other those secrets that you’re too scared to openly admit to others. Enjoy those late night drives down the beach, eating your favorite fast food burgers, listening to that song that will soon be a reminder of those wonderful memories. Appreciate time and moments.
