This week, Aperture's editors select the highlights of AIPAD: The Photography Show, on view now through April 17th at the @parkavenuearmory in New York.
7.) When Roger, Mary, Kate, and Devon Steffens unearthed their father’s archive, they discovered almost 40,000 photos such as this one. Their father, Roger Steffens, documented his experiences from the 1960s onward, which his children, as the Family Acid, have used to create a book and an Instagram feed: @thefamilyacid

This week, Aperture's editors select the highlights of AIPAD: The Photography Show, on view now through April 17th at the @parkavenuearmory in New York.
6.) Though you might not be able to tell, this piece has a filmy texture and is not a typical, flat, printed photograph. To achieve this effect, Yuji Hamada soaks a Polaroid photo in water, removes the film, and then layers the images on top on each other, which creates a vibrant and fascinating print.
